Groups making a difference.

There are music groups out there who are now focusing on helping others. How awesome is that? Hanson comes to mind first because of how public they are about doing it with Take The Walk and joining up with Toms Shoes to help children (and everyone) in Africa. With Take The Walk they encourage people to join a walk, or start one up in their own town, where people walk for one mile and they encourage you to do it barefoot. You are "Walking in someone else's shoes" to show just what its like to not have any. Trust me, you get just how hard it is. Hanson donates a dollar for every person that walks, even if they have their shoes on. I now own 2 pairs of Toms, and I love wearing them knowing that I have saved some kids from that pain for awhile at least. Does anyone else know of bands that are helping others, or even things that I can do to help. I'm a poor college student...
