I lost friends today!

I try and go under my friends' profiles and answer their posts before I move on to others. A couple of the friends I went to have been " account is inactive". Is this because they quit, got kicked off,or do they come back? I don't know but I deleted them because I wasn't sure. They all had well over 500 or 600 points. Is this the norm or should I have waited to remove them?

u just have to do what u want to do & not worry about it. if they were on the inactive list i'd probably done the same thing. u can get them back if u want to. u never know about people.

first of the year i went through my friends list & deleted a bunch of people that i hadn't heard from or there ratings didn't look like they were participating at all. i didn't feel bad about it at all. alot of people i had never heard from. don't know why they want to be your friend & then u never hear another thing from them. quit worrying, o,k,?

I am sorry to heard about that. I think they may haven't login for a long time and their accounts are suspended. You can remove those accounts as you can't see them anymore. Moreover, you can add me as your new friend. I just join myLot for a week and still enjoy so much in here. Nice to meet you. HaPpY MyLoTtInG!

I am not really sure how it works but think that where an account is inactive it means the person has left myLot or resigned and then maybe rejoined under a different user name. As far as I know if a person is banned, then their rating/number of posts disappears as well, sort of like they never existed. At least that is what I was told when I first joined a couple of years ago but I cannot say for sure that it is accurate information. I know that some of my friends have something like “no activity for more than 60 days” but have not seen any where it says “account is inactive” so I have left them as is for now. Personally I would say that if an account is inactive, then there is no point in keeping that member as a friend. If they are inactive and want to come back to myLot then they would have to rejoin with a new user name and of course request new friends as they would have none until that happened. If you have a lot of friends then sometimes it is better to do a bit of housekeeping from time to time as it would certainly make managing your friends much simpler.

I wasn't sure how it worked. One day they were there..the next day they weren't. I thought it strange. I did delete them but wondered if it was a common occurance and maybe they "showed" back up.Thanks for responding.

I think those friends of yours would have voilated some mylot guidelines, that is why they are rendered 'inactive'. I have not come across such a friend so far. I'll also check the same. If you do not get any relevant answer in your discussion, you can also write to mylot people.

Hi dpk. You should check because I would have never known if I hadn't went to their profiles. I may loose more before it's over with because I'm not finished going through my list. Thanks for the advice

Nobody is quite sure why mylot is doing this. I haven't decided if I'm going to remove them or not. I hate the idea that some of the people have been inactiveated for whatever reason.

You can check their profiles. If they've been inactive for more than, let's say, 6 months or so? You can remove them from your list but that would be totally up to you. But then, who knows? Some of them do come back. Take care.

I hate to see the friends I am used to go but when they are gone, they are gone, and you did the right thing. I hope Trans comes back because he is one of my favorite posters, as you are as well.

Where did you go, to their profiles? When I was cleaning out my friends list at the first of the year I didn't find any that said that, just that they hadn't posted in a while. I deleted any that were gone for 4 months or more. Now that I have made this a discussion I've decieded to leave my lists alone until this time next year, then check again for inactive.

I can understand leaving at 500 or so postings, that's when you find out how little money you get here and if that's your main reason for being here you may decied to leave.

Same here,I don't know what that means but if you find out let me know. I deleted 5 people for that reason.

I will missy. If I don't find something out I'll try emailing mylot and asking.
