I joined the site late last December and I was excited to write reviews there. I even reached the minimum payout of $20 within a few hours. I also invited several people to join the site. I was very excited because it is so easy to earn there. But after a while, they changed their policies particularly their incentive plan. I was ranked as a reviewer so it gave me hope. They removed the referral bonuses and the first review bonus. I got my balance to a negative amount twice and yesterday, I get an error logging into my account. I sent an email message about it but I did not receive any response. Noone that I knew has received any payouts from there which they promised to give on the 20th. I am now pretty sure that the site is a cheater. I do not want to get involved with it anymore. I feel frustrated and really think that it is unfair. I exerted effort to earn. I continued my participation after all the changes and then they deleted my account.

I had joined the site under one of the fellow myLot members-can't remember who but discontinued in it after one review because by then my blog had got approved by today.com(banner in my profile)...I am glad I didn't waste my time there..It really hurts when you spend so much time with a site and then they suddenly run off without paying anything...Hope you get your payment soon.Have a nice day!

I am a member of this website and frankly I have the same feeling like you. Actually I reached nearly USD200 but after January, they deleted all of my reviews. So the earning was even minus. I am not quite sure about it. So later I wrote my reviews again and they even rated me as the beginner. Then I see a hope. But this time I become "smarter", I wrote the reviews when my earning is up to USD20 and then I stop writing reviews. As I have to make sure whether it pays me. Now it's already Jan.22 and their promise is still suspended. I haven't got my payment yet. I am thinking whether they are the cheaters. If I can't get my payment by the end of this month, then I can confirm it's the scam.

Wow! That's a lot of effort wasted. No doubt, based from you experience, i can tell that the website is a scam. People were talking about too much and i'm just glad i didn't join. It's a good thing you exposed this one to prevent other people from joining. $20 to negative earning is a robbery!

i am still able to log in but i am still waiting on payment. i will nto be taking any kind of action towards this site until i get paid so if they dont pay.. they lost a member.

this is what i found on the site
First piece of good news, if you have submitted a payment request and you are a Reviewer in good standing we are processing your payment requests today. There may be 1 or 2 of you we missed but more on that in a moment.
The bad news. We have still not completed processing all of the outstanding payment requests. If you are a Beginner it is likely that we have not yet completed a full editorial review of your content and therefore we have not been able to approve your payment requests. Yet.
More good news. We realize that many of you with outstanding payment requests will be disappointed so we will be doing a special payment process on February 10th for everyone whose payment requests were not processed today. That should give us enough time to complete an editorial review of ALL outstanding payment requests for the December 16th to January 20th pay period. This will include the 1 or 2 Reviewers who we may miss today.
Our current Paypal system allows us to process multiple payments in one transaction but we are experiencing some difficulties with unexpected errors. We are currently tracking down the problem with Paypal and expect to have it sorted out for the February 10th payment processing. In order to process today’s payments we may have to send each payment individually. Regardless, they will be processed today. It can take from 3-5 business days for Paypal to process the payments once they are submitted.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact me at editor@comparedby.us. Please be aware that I am still working through a large backlog of emails. I will do my best to respond to every email within 24 hours.

Im sorry that there are people in todays world that just want to waste our peoples time. Websites like that take advantage of those who need that extra money to make it through these tough economic times. I hope you find sucess with other websites and get the payouts you deserve.

i was also a member there but it was only lately that i was able to join the site.i came across of a person who is also pinay who was able to make about $100+ in that site.when she tried to cashout,all her reviews were read by the editors and unfortunately for her,her account was suspended because according to them,her english was not that good.in fairness to her,i think she speaks and writes well based on the posts she made on the forum that we were both members of.i think you better contact the staff of the site about this problem.but as always,we should never expect from sites like this.i think ciao is way better than CBU.too bad,they changed the incentive plan.

I know a few people that were paid by them yesterday and today and they posted their payment proofs on the blog. I joined in December also but I am still waiting for the editorial team to get to my reviews which they have said would be in the next few days but it means I won't get paid till Feb. 10 but I figure that I will wait till then and see. I figure it will turn out all right and I know that my friends got paid everything that they had cashed out and are now able to write reviews. I know that they were having trouble with a few peoples log in so maybe you should write a post to James and I am sure that they can get it fixed.

Since the day I joined I immediately starts reviewing but after reaching the minimum I stopped for I have to see first if they really give the payment. Oh at least I was rank as a beginner, but that just it, as what your respondent learned, the payment for beginners is not reviewed yet by their staff.. whatever... its really is a frustrating, the least that we can do is not to participate anymore.

Well it's a wise decision that you decided to get out fast. All the RED flags are there so there's no reason to stay and waste more of your precious time with that site. Thanks for sharing your experience and warning us to keep away and getting scammed by them too.

I joined CBU recently as well. I wrote one review and was awarded $2 for it. Then I became terribly busy and did not have time to make any more reviews. After that, I heard about all these changes and wondering if they are still paying for anything at all. I think I will stick to some trusted review sites for the moment, until things settle down at CBU. If it shuts down, I will only lose $2. I'm sorry to hear that your earnings went from $20 to a negative figure. Maybe it's just a glitch and they are working things out. Not sure. I'm just going to wait and see for the meantime.

I join the site by the ref link you message me .. but i'm rare to visit the site and be active on the sites, plus i read other member mention that they have been scammed by the site, because when they reach over their minimum payout, the admin deleting his account and said that he is doing plagiary things in almost of his reviewer, but he never wrote one of it like they mention.
With your topics, now i'm definitely sure that they are scammer

Hello maroseqf: We did respond to you, we sent you a message that your account was suspended for posting reviews that you were copying. You copied reviews from existing websites and changed a few words here and there. That's called plagiarism. That's why you were banned.

I'm so sorry to hear that maroseqf. I too decided to quit comparedby.us...Its just too much. At first I was so happy to find a site that pays so much for just one review, so I posted as much as I could- BUT it was not spam. It was pure 100% honest reviews about 2-3 paragraphs each. Then a week later they disabled the review feature- I SO KNEW IT WAS COMING...and then they start all that rookie and other level stuff ugh...Now strangely my earnings has been set back to $0.00...I feel like I just wasted all of my time on that site. It sucks that bad people have to ruin it for others. =[
