Have you ever been on a bad diet, one that left you feeling run down or worse than before you started the diet? Has your health been affected by staying too long on a diet plan? Describe the diet plan and what happened to your health as a result of following it.

I know what you mean. Been there. Done that. It's our western diet, the standard diet, that does us in. I once lost 93 pounds, and when I felt comfortable with my weight, I stopped exercising and I put a lot of the pounds back on. It's one thing to be motivated to diet -- even to eat healthy -- but I've found that without modest exercise, the pounds find a way back on.

yes. exercising is still the best and we must do it constantly because when we stop exercising i heard that it's back to 0 again. anyways, have a nice day and happy mylotting.

A few years ago, I tried that crazy cabbage soup diet. While I lost a few temporary pounds, I felt really drained and worn out after being on it for just a few days. The soup itself didn't taste bad, but it was still a foolish choice. I'm currently trying to lose a bit of weight, but I'm eating sensibly and exercising more.

That's the best way to do it. I'm working at that myself. But that "exercising more" part of the combination is what's tough.

I tried that cayenne pepper lemonade diet. You are supposed to drink a mix of lemon juice, maple syrup and cayenne pepper all day for several days to clean everything out. Then start slowly adding back solid foods. I didn't last very long because I couldn't stand the burning in my stomach and the acidic diarrhea.

I've heard of that diet and almost did it once. But isn't it supposed to be just for 3 days? What kept me from trying it was the cost of grade A maple syrup. Now I'm glad I didn't.
