Sunrise...Sunset?

Which do you like better, watching the sun rise or watching the sun set?I like to watch the sun set. The colors always seem to be prettier and its the end of one day with the new day coming right around the corner. It gives me a chance to reflect on what happened and what I could do differently in the future. Its nice to see something peaceful at the end of a long day, especially if its a stressful one. What do you think? Which one is better to you?

I like sunset better partly because I often miss the time of the sunrise. Actually, sunset is wonderful. The clouds are painted red. The sunset is more tender and brighter than the sun in the noon. At this time, you often can remember something past, and look forward something in the future. It really brings you peaceful and calm.

I like sun rise, the first reason is the air is so fresh; the second reason is sun rise is the beginning of a day which is full of hope. I make my plans every day before the sun rise. I do not like sunset so much , due to the meaning of it . I do not like end of everything.

I work evenings, and I rarely get out of bed before about 9 A.M., so I don't usually see the sun come up in the mornings. I do, however, usually get to watch the sunset from the comfort of the drive-thru window of the restaurant I work in...

Down here in Florida we have a lot of open spaces and the most beautiful sunsets I've ever seen. I love watching them and have many pictures of them saved to CD. They do seem very relaxing after a long day. Besides, if I watch the sun come up, it means that I got up way too early!

I think it's the sunrise. It's the beginning of a new day. It represents a new hope. Something to look forward too. But i also love sunset. It's magical in a colorful way.

I don't really have a preference. I like both sunrise and sunset. I get out of bed in the morning and open my curtains to look out on the new day. There is a field of sheep at the bottom of my garden, and I love to look out on them first before anything else. Then, I'll get my breakfast and sit by the window in the dining room, which faces east, watching the sun come up as I eat. It starts with a silvery glow behind the trees and moves round and up, rising close to the church, by which time it's a light, golden colour. Sometimes the sky will be red at the beginning of the sunrise and turn to pink, and other times, the clouds turn to a purple colour, edged by the gold of the sunlight. I like to reflect at this time, on new beginnings, with a new day dawning. Sunset is beautiful too. I watch this from my garden or my living room which both face west. It's similar to sunrise but the colours grow darker and reflect the bold flame orange colour of the sun as it sets. At sunset, I reflect on what I've achieved during that day, and look forward to the moon coming up... which I also love. Brightest Blessings.

If I had to choose, it would be the sunset because I love the way the sky changes color and everything gets so dark and romantic during the moment. It's so pretty! I think it's the perfect way to end the evening.

LOL Well since I'm never up to see a sunrise I guess I'll pick sunsets. I'm a night person anyway - so sunsets and moon rises are my time of the day.

I enjoy more sunsets than sunrises, I happen to be walking around the sunset time while the sunrises are extremely rare for me, I would have to be up at a certain time when I am fighting to wake up each day. I agree with you, the sunsets seem richer to me in color, different each day and the only thing that can ruin one sunset is a very cloudy day

I prefer to watch the sunrise although the sunset is also very pretty. Sunrise on the other hand also has with it the cool and refreshing atmosphere of the morning while sunset is usually hot :P I like the smell of morning and I think that somehow made sunrise considerably more appealing to me than sunset :) Thanks for the response on my discussion!

I have always preferred to watch the sun set that to watch it rise. I have always thought it was much prettier at dusk than it is at dawn and if I am outside when the sun is coming up than I know that I really did not get much sleep and I spend the rest of the day tired and wishing I would have gotten just a little more sleep!!

I prefer the sunset, the purples and oranges that the sky holds, its a really uplifting feeling. The sunset is more attractive and it just automatically gives you a sence of ending, like the end of the day. Sunset all the way!

For me I like watching both the sunrise and the sunset. Both looks so wonderful. The sunrise promises a new day and a greener horizon that is full of promises and beauty while the sunset reminds us of what had happen during the day. The colors are really wonderful. I like taking pictures for both sunrise and sunset. I find it really awesome.

I also really enjoy watching the sun set. Where I live the sun sets on the mountains and it is so pretty. I also live in a place that faces more north so I do not see the sun rising as well. All the colors on a sun set is so beautiful especially the purpilish colors.

They are both pretty but i think i enjoy sunset more. Sunrise happens so fast and in the morning i am not focused on the sun. Sunset is so nice to watch. The sky is so pretty that time of the day.

Sunset's better, hands down. I prefer sunsets because I barely see the sun rise, honestly. Like, we rush to go to work, school. We don't see the sunrise, then. But when the day's done, it's all over and we're tired, the Big Guy Upstairs gives us something good to look at. It's better that way.

Both are beautiful I must say. However, I think there is something extra special and romantic about sunsets... Especially on a warm beach far away from home... Umm dreaming myself away :-p
