He has gone in for the 6 weeks check up.
and was told he needs another MRI.
as Doctor is worried about the pain he is still having in back and legs. From what I gather has something to do with that nerve that they had to move out of the way.
He had been waiting for them to call him to set up the date and time ,but workmans comp are dragging feet again!
So he got ahold of his lawyer and they are contacing workmans comp to get this MRI done.
Seems like workmans comp just wants to send him back to work before he is healed right.
What do you think about this and has it happened to you?

It never happened to me, but they are still giving me the run around with the disablity, I am getting it but now I have to go back to my doctor for yet another health report, and apply at a different agency they say it is the law, I don't want to do it, but what choice do I have, if I don't they will cut me off.
I think it is a damn shame how your brother is being treated, these government agencies make me sick.

Hey lakota! I am sorry to hear that your son is still having
problems with his back! Unfortunately when you are dealing
with worker's compensation they do put you through all types
of red tape stuff and take forever! Of course they would much
rather send you back to work! That way they wouldn't have
to pay! They will try to stall as long as they can so just
let your son's lawyer handle it and tell him to be patient
and make sure he gets the care that he needs and don't return
to work before he is well enough and the doctor's decide that
he really is ok.

I agree that it is not right to send him back to work too soon. The funding for workmans comp has also been depleted by many people who are perfectly well but play act being sick. It is so sad that government funds for the people who need the service are getting short changed because of all the cheaters

This must be a worrying time for you. There would be so much frustration while you wait for the go ahead from parties who really don't have your son's best interests t heart. I really hope your son will be ok. This sort of injury could be something he has to live with always...I really hope that is not the case.

I most serious hope not . they figure a new MIR will find why the nerve is still acting up. He has been told already he cant go back to his life long work that he hqas done since he was nine he was just a natural at it.
HE even has truckers call him long distance to diagnos thuier problems over the phone he can even tell whats wrong and they get it fixed while on the road!

He has to get a signed. letter from the doctor to give to Workmen's Compensation saying that until he gets his MRI, he will be unable to work. And the latter has to say that he has to have recovery time, and if he has any duties, they have to be light duties. He cannot do any heavy work. The lawyer will help him.
Do you know if there are any light duties like working in an office where he works?

He has al that!
He is a disel machanic.
Not really any light work he can do or is trained for. Not realy and office person he has done this work since he was nine.
When they tell him and they already have told him he cant go back doing what he was doing. So now he is trying to tink of other things to work at.

its difficult situation for him in my opinion. as we already know that the policy of company is different between another including this matter. if he has good position in those company i believe that the company would not have this problem even though he should rest in long period

Hi friend,
Wow...look at your numbers grow over half way to topping up your 14.000 post. Being that I am here so little your credits always blow me away! Good for you. Anyway, in regard to your discussion...not that it will probably be of any comfort your your son's experiences are a pretty common occurrence with workman's comp.
They like disability insurance adjusters do not have the client/patient's best interest as their prime focus. Most bureaucratic companies have bean counters that do not want to pay for anything they can avoid.
Sorry to hear that the situation is dragging on and I do hope that it is resolves soon.
Raia.

This is what Workers Comp is all about. They are constantly pushing people back to work after an injury. I am assuming that he got hurt on the job since he is dealing with Workers Comp? Tell him to go to his doctor and get a letter/certificate stating that he is unable to work until that MRI is completed. At that time if need be he should get another one as well. But it has to state that he is unable to work. And or only do light duties. I am sorta dealing with the same situation. I as well have a back injury but I wasn't hurt on the job. So I am not dealing with Workers Comp. I am dealing with the Insurance Company as well as the Disability Board. I had to get a letter and lots of paper work from my doctor stating that I was not able to work due to my disablities as well as impairments that are preventing me from working. I hope things all work out with your son and this somewhat helps.
