Of course the internet is addictive there are thousands of people who spend hours upon hours online (myself included). I think it´s the fact that you can contact your friends you can get a glimpse of the whole world. I do agree with you that the internet can have many bad effects you just have to look at the amount of crimes that are perpetrated using the internet, as you highlighted terrorism is a major concern, it´s a good tool for terrorists to contact each other and plan their disgraceful attacks. There have also been countless accounts of murders and pedophlies using the internet in order to commit appalling acts. You have to weight up the positive and negative effects of the internet, it has countless benefits such as working, communicating with others, education etc. Thanks for posting this discussion and I hope you have a nice day. Happy Mylotting!

Yah, Internet is quite an addictive hobby. Last night, I think I was going to be crazy because there was no internet connection. The ISP was having a problem and they are fixing it out. I just go to sleep at that time so I won't be thinking of the problem.

Yes, I agree with you. It's very addictive for having everything on it. If I were to choose, I will devote the rest of my time in internet but ofcourse I can't do that... Still have more important things to do rather than that. hehe.. : D

Hi there! Indeed internet is addictive and I have experienced it. Before I am not interested in the net and I used to laugh at my brothers cause they spend hours just browsing the net. But when I tried it myself I was surprised that I spent hours to and could not just stop at what I was doing. Especially after I have found mylot and my other earning sites. Now I can spend my whole day in front of my laptop doing without getting bored. But sometimes internet does ruins my schedules if I'm too weak to resist opening my laptop. There are instances that I would postpone other responsibilities just to be online. Before that always happens but after sometime I was able to manage my time. Ciao!

I agree with you - the internet is addictive mainly because it is limitless in terms of the amount of things you can do. Like you said, there are several activities on the internet that you can be a part of if you so wish, or it can open up doors of communication or make new links with other users of the net. I think that for many people, the internet is a way to keep busy and I am sure that there are many who would not easily get bored using the net. But like you said, the internet is not completely positive. For example, you have to be extremely cautious if children in the home are using the net as there is a lot of material which is unsuitable for children to view. In addition, children can often get in contact with strangers who may pose a threat to them

I agree with you. We can find lots of informations and many other entertainment activities at internet. We can earn few bucks too. At times, when you start loving the internet, you may become an addict too. It lies in how you use the internet. I never sit more than 3 or 4 hours before my computer. Never give priority to the online activities. Then you can control yourself and I'm sure people can stop becoming an addict too.

I agree - the Internet is VERY addictive! I do everything on the 'net except grocery shop. I pay my bills, I earn my living, I buy gifts, I buy supplies to support my business, I make friends, I keep in touch, I send cards, and so on. I haven't rented movies or bought music -- YET, and I haven't used it for dating. I do agree that there are a lot of negative aspects to the Internet, as well, and that I need to keep my teens in check when it comes to its use.

I completely agree with you. I feel like I post the same thing over and over, but I should be doing other things right now! Laundry, dishes, cleaning, dusting...etc. This is just so much more entertaining and not as mundane! I have to find a way to get more motivated.

Internet is indeed very addictive and it can make you ignore the chores that one has to do in his/her household. It has its negatives like running up a huge bill, spending less time with your family and can tranform you into the virtual world which is not good for your social life and it will not help you improve your character but it has more positives than it has negatives. As far as planned terrorism goes I think there should be stricter vigilance.
