I'm not so sure if you have come to know of this bubble gum called "Cry Baby". It was so sour it could make you cry. One could buy it at 1 peso from your friendly across-or-outside-the-school vendor. I think it was way back 1994. Well, just wanna check if Im not the only one who knows about it.

Yes, bazooka too. Some vendors used to give that gum as change in case they didn't have 50 or 25 centavos. You know the feeling "I got a free bazooka!" haha.

Yep, I remember it as clear as day.. even the taste. It definitely makes you cry the moment you prolong it in your mouth because of its sour taste. I remember saving some of my "baon" for it.

Yep, that's it alright! :-D 1 peso right? It had a partner too. Just don't remember the name, somehow. Anyway, it was a gum that would stain your entire mouth. I think it was "dye" or " lipstick". whatever. Mabuhay!!

Hi there. Yes, I remember "Cry Baby". That and "Pintura" were the craze back when I was in grade school. And yes, I still kind of remember the taste. It was quite addictive, though I never really did cry while eating it. I have a high tolerance for sour food. I wonder what happened to that brand of candy. If they're still selling it now, I haven't really noticed. Are they?

I think they stopped selling it. Otherwise, I would have known through my brother who digs sour food, and is in grade school too.

yes. i just tried it recently. i dint like it a bit.. my niece was laughing when she saw my disaggreable reaction while i put it on my mouth. i had to spit it out. she offered to drain the gum in the water to get rid of the sour taste. never like it.

Hi, gelay, haha, so you tried it? Wait, you said recently. So you mean, it's still sold in your place? I haven't seen it here anymore so I thought of it now as only a thing of the past. We never really liked it because of the taste. I too don't go so much for sour food. But it was the fun of it that had us go crazy over the gum. We enjoyed it so much back then.

I am familiar with that bubble gum brand, I use to bring them to school with me so that I can pop one in my mouth (secretly of course) when I am feeling so sleepy. hehehe. At least, I am finding ways not to sleep in class. I think they still sell those in the local grocery stores.
