Ok, comeone guys, this is just stupid . But don't worry, trivial things like a crashing economy and rampant corruption will take a backseat to much more important things like silent cellphone cameras. I tell ya, I was seriously worried about this, I'm glad the hero's in congress are doing somehting about it [/sarcasm] http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?c111:H.R.414: Camera Phone Predator Alert Act (Introduced in House) HR 414 IH 111th CONGRESS 1st Session H. Give me a f*cking break. This is where our tax dollars go? Most of these camera phones are made in Japan and Taiwan. Now our government wants to tell businesses in other countries what to do? This won't change anything regarding predators. All they'll do is stick with phones made before this ridiculous bill, or if they have an ounce of technical knowledge they'll just disconnect the speaker. Is this still in committee, or are they actually ready to vote on this garbage?

I was thinking the same thing when I read this. Well I don't have a cell phone so I would just have to carry a mini hidden camera. Videos are better than pictures anyway. I agree, such a bill would accomplish nothing, so of course it will pass with an overwhelming majority.

BAH, it's good to know that we've plenty of idiots left in politicking. _ and people said we had hope that they might become less plentiful...

Hey, at least they gave it a really cool name! I don't think this is something that needs to be legislated as law. With so many cell phones out there that already take silent pictures it's kind of like closing the barn door after most of the horses have already had their pictures taken.
