Personally also because I am not rich and I do not make money yet, buying DVDs especially the original ones would cost me a fortune and not need to say cause I watch a lot of movies and love to collect movies, keeping them there in my external harddisk but never watch lolz. So for me downloading movies is the only choice. I can say I had never bought a original movie DVDs since I was borned. Yeah I am a sucker for movies industry. Just can't afford to buy the originals not, that I do not want. How about you??

I only download movies. Original DVDs are pretty much expensive while the pirated ones have very low quality. Something not viewable so that's another waste of time and money. Downloading on the other hand is free and readily accessible. I'm not a hypocrite and i know it's a violation but what can i do? Besides, there's no law about it here in our country. I think if they want to stop us from downloading illegally, they should lessen the price tag of original DVDs first.

neither.. i watch it online, especially for the asian movies like korea, japan and also china (taiwan and main land). but maybe sometimes i download for the hollywood's movies. LOL.. i usually stream the movies from here: http://mysoju.com and http://cafe-forum.net (this is not considering as refferal link right? i just share it..) i also think you shouldn't feel any bad to the movies industry as they already earn great amount (ridicolously) amount of money..

I know ppl that download movies from online but I don't. To me the risk isn't worth it. Most movies come with a copyright warning...the penalty is $200,000 and up to 5 years in jail. There isn't a movie made worth that. I buy mine instead. Usually from Deepdiscountdvds or from Ebay. If your careful on Ebay you can get brand new or close to it for little of nothing. I'd rather pay for mine then get caught with stolen ones. I agree that they should lower the cost though...it's what encourages ppl to steal them to begin with. First let me ask you this - I have been lookinginto this kind of thing - watching tv shows on internet as a way to cut my cable bill since I dont' watch that much anyway.. But the only option I can find to watch the show is that is appears right in the middle of the screen (mine is 18") and the area of the viewing the show is about 5x6 inch in size. That small I can't go sit on the sofa and watch, I have to just sit in mycomputer chair and watch and that isn't very comfortable and I just stop watching. Do you do something else to make the viewing area larger? I can't imagen watching a whole movie like this... but everyone is always talking about watching on internet..is this the only way or is there a way to make the viewing area larger? Second...what I do is I just watch the stores (Target) and Amazon.com for their sales. No I don't get them the minute they come out at $20-$25. I can wait to watch them. Throw in that there aren't to many "good" movies that come out these days and the sales work just fine. I liked 27 Dresses and just waited till it went on sale and got it for $6 at Target. Amazon.com often has BOGO sales which is where I pick up the box sets (of tv shows) for under $20 (I usually wait till they are BOGO AND about $15 for a box set that is a great bargain!) I have been collecting the box set of the sitcoms from the 60's 70's and 80's when comedy was funny and TV was worth watching. Throw in that with VHS still around, the movies often come on one of the cable channels so I will record it. VHS is probably on its way out, so I have (on sale of course) bought a VHS player that is in my closet for when hte one I have wears out ... just in case. And while I watch the VHS I watch the sales for those shows for around $5 on DVD. Kmart has a huge display of shows on DVD for $5.

I watch movies free online. I found some good websites that even have brand new movies on it to watch. I don't want to buy the DVDs because they are expensive and so it the theatre. Sometimes if the movie is very good I will buy a used version of it. Usually though I stick to watching movies online.

I buy DVD's occasionally. However, I tend to watch stuff on the net rather than buy DVD's. It's just nice watching free stuff and not spending a fortune especially on something that I may or may not like. I'd rather know what I'm getting into first before I decide whether or not to buy.

Most often,i just download the movies from internet because i have really got much benifited by the various online sites that had given me movies of all years ,even classical movies that i had wished to watch.I do buy DVDs on cases that when i have not yet watched any recent movies.I buy DVDs of new movies and download my favorite childhood movies and old movies from internet.Recently i bought the DVD of Chronicles of narnia series which was ma long awaited movie which i did not see after many months of release of the movie. My recntly downloaded movies from the web are underworld series, bogeyman and The grudge. Most of the movies i have are the downloaded ones

well my story is also somewhat similar as yours. I never bought a single original DVD in my entire life. Right now i have around 150 movies, and few seasons of TV shows. I keep them in my hard disk and watch them rarely. I download them using torrents and some and TV shows from megaupload. I am alot into downloading and i dont mostly watch all of them.

I joined the lovefilm.co.uk video rental site. It costs a small amount each month and they post you a movie to your home address, when your done with it you post it back and they send you another. You choose your movies from a list of over 65,000. This way i get to see all the movies i want.

For DVDs, I will just borrow from friends or relatives. I frequently watch movie online via website like crunchyroll, veoh, etc. Sometimes I enjoy to watch video clips from youtube.

I don't do either to be honest. I'm in lovefilm.com, I just get them sent out to me, post them back and they send something else off my list. Realistically - how often do you watch a film more than once, I have a habdful that I do, and if I do fall in love with a film, I ask for it as a gift! Everybody is happy!! Its great.
