As some of you may know, last summer we got an eliptical machine for my husband to use since he needs low impact workouts. When we got the machine we also got the iFIT cartridge that controls your workout. Well, Rhonda is the personal trainer voice on the cartridge. Back in November, I started using the machine since the weather was going to start getting bad and I wouldn't be able to do my normal walks. I started at the beginning, we only had the beginner cartridge. I thought it was pretty easy and completed the 8 week program in about a month. I did the workout every day instead of every other day. When I was almost done with the beginner workouts, I went and bought the intermediate and advanced workouts - they were on sale so I just got them both figuring I'll get to the advanced sooner or later. So, I started the intermediate... I haven't done 2 days in a row yet, I finished the 6th one today (after my aborted first attempt at it yesterday). I am about ready to kill Rhonda!!! I don't know where she gets her rating system for beginner, intermediate and advanced.... I think it should be labeled Whimpy, Bust Your Butt, and probably Have A Heart Attack (I am SO not looking forward to the advanced - hopefully I'll have lost my weight by then and can switch to the toning one???). Rhonda sure doesn't understand the graduated effect of doing something, it's all or nothing! I'm hoping to be able to do 2 days in a row next week, even if it's the same workout.

Actually, I have been feeling a bit of soreness on my thighs and butt. That's a good thing though because it means I'm really hitting those muscles!!

Doesn't sound like she did a gradual moving up in the exercise program. As I see it as long as your doing some type of exercise, it is better than not doing anything at all. Keep up the good work in your exercise program and you will achieve your goal.

Yeah, doing something is better than doing nothing at all. I am trying to keep up with it, but some of the time I just can't go that fast - even if it is for just one minute...
