Stop messing with my friends list!!!!
Because now you are beginning to p*ss ME off!
Over the past week or so I've seen friends come and go from my friends list before I've barely had a chance to say hello, and definitely NOT had a chance to say good bye!
Why? Because some thin skinned little jerk can't take having their feelings hurt!
OR they think it's just soooooooo funny to open multiple accounts with pirated names of those they dislike, and in the end forcing the people who OWN the proper names to change accounts and/or find themselves banned.
What this site really needs is to put into place a tracking system that catches idiots like this in the act! Ban their IP immediately and put an end to these kind of games. The reporting system is faulty enough here and badly abused. Must we now COPYRIGHT our user names too? No variations allowed unless you can prove you are you?!!!

I can, I can! You can personally vouch for me, Sparky! But I know what you mean. I don't understand the thin-skinned nature of some people. For goodness sake, if you can't take the heat, then stay out of the Lot. And all of this banning that's been happening lately??? I don't understand it one bit. What I do understand, however, is it's been 2 particular people causing all of the trouble. Now, why would they do that? Do they have so little personal power in their offline lives that they have to exercise every little iota of power they can garner here? Why such viciousness? I'm having a bit of deja vu here, Sparky,and I'll bet you are too. Mylot is for fun. Period. At least, that's the way I see it. Why don't these other people take out their aggressions at a shooting range or in the ring or something? Don't get it, I just don't get it. (scratches head, and starts a hunt for some fun)

I hear ya Nova. I got a pm this morning that explained things, and got a giggle too that neither ME nor the author of the pm were involved in all this, which is really rather funny considering our past history. But if she and I could put our differences in the past, then for heaven's sake people, wake up!! But it is rather scary that this can happen. Having your user names pirated is NOT fun and only leads to confusion and hurt feelings where none should have occured. To me that's abuse, and you know how I feel about abuse of ANY kind.
Now let's gather up our dear Bo and find some FUN!!!!!!!

Sounds to me like someone or several someones have way to much time on their hands, and what a waste. To go to all that trouble when that same energy could be used in
a much better way. I don't remember but didn't we have a password on this list that was kept secret?

Oh Sparks, They are still at it. They are stirring up the trouble again. Why can they not let things rest and leave things be. They really need to have a better tracking system and prevent people from creating more then one account per ID address. And they need to also revamp the way the delate discussions just because some one complains. They need to check it out first and see if the complaint is justified.

What's in the discussion is pretty much what's been happening. The trolls have a new game........take your user name, make a small change, open a new account with that name and drive other users to distractions of confusion........ They've also been using the report button falsely and now Zu is banned. Can hardly wait till she comes back..............Nice to see you Raven. Missed you.

Well Sparks you know who I am.. But this is going flipping to far. I love my firends here and since I have come back and started posting more frequently I don't know how many time this jackdog has messed with my friends and forced them to change their names.. Well I think mylot has to get busy and do something with this guy or maybe a little flogging is in order. grrrr. I am starting to get upset.
I want to give a shout out to my friends if for somereason this jack dog does this to you were you get banned and what not or have to change your name please please send the friends request!!! and I'll accept it.

I totally agree with sparks, some of my friends are being messed with as well. It's not funny and it's no joke! Yes, sparks I believe that admin needs a tracking system. They can get one they can still find this person from their IP address and they need to as this is a frustrating ongoing problem.

What REALLY annoys me is the banning of innocent users because of the actions of the jerks in question. NOT fair, not nice, and something needs to be done or this little 'joke' will catch on with other feeble minded jerks and things will get worse.

Pat, pat, pat, pat. Yep I am still me. I just had to check. LOL I have also noticed friends accounts being marked as inactive. I raise an eyebrow and question it because I know I just interacted with them a few days before. Now I have to ask, what are these cheaters gaining by disrupting the Lot. PM me and let me know who I should be watching out for.

I agree with you sparks....it's gotten to the point of ridiculousness. I would not even know how to go about doing what this person is doing. I actually don't know how i'd go about proving who I am if someone decided to try to be me. Can you tell I'm me now and not an imposter? If so how? how do you know. I could be just messing with your little mind. I'm not, of course. I got taken in with pyewackets imposter...it's pretty easy.

I find it rather odd that mylot doesn't have a system in place to track IP's I know if you're on high speed, you IP changes, but a lot of sites can track you any way. And I just don't get trouble makers at all. I'm an old grouch, and not always the friendliest person in the world, but why any one goes out of their way to start trouble eludes me. I haven't had any one "borrow" my user name. . .yet, but I know a lot of mylot friends who have.

YOU a grouch?! No way. I've never seen it..........but that said, I'm one too when the occasion arises. Like now. I just can't fathom the mind set of tiny brained idiots who think this kind of thing is not just fun, but ACCEPTABLE! I just hope admin pay attention and does something about it soon. And yes, even though some IP's 'change', there is a way to track if it's coming from the same computer. And with technology being what it is, there's really no excuse for admin not to take advantage of the tools at their disposal. Other sites can and do.........

I wholeheartedly agree with you on this one sparks.
This twit is pissing me off too. He needs to get a reality check and quick. MyLot can't ban the IP address because it wouldn't make a difference most people that do not have a static IP can change their IP Address daily. There needs to be something else put in place. I wish there was a way for them to banned a home address. That way any ip address that came from that address could not make an account.

Isn't the server the company? that wouldn't work cause there could be thousands ont he same server. I think internet companies need to make it so it goes by home address instead of ip address. MyLot is not going to last much longer if they cannot keep control of this idiot and who knows there may be more that we don't know of doing this too.

It's the servers that assign the IP's and if one IP/Server is blocked, it wouldn't affect others that use that server. I had a friend here waaaaay back who had his server blocked by the site, through HIS IP, but it didn't affect others who used that server as they were not 'flagged' for blocking. I can't explain it well, but I know it can be done....

They can trace the IP's back to the server and ban the server. Other sites do it all the time.........and the twits better wise up if they don't want their entire net life cut short.

I haven't seen anyone banned or made inactive nor have I heard of any one specific who has left. I've seen a few discussions about such goings on but I have not got a clue what has people so hot under the collar.
There was someone pretending to be some of the members here....even my avatar appeared in an account called MrTickle. It was pretty obvious they were fake accounts from the spelling and the lower rate number. That was just one person running amok for some reason....that person has been gotten rid of so what else is going on? Can someone kindly explain in words of one syllable please.

You are not a troll. This is true. But you were pirated.........oh hell, I can't talk in words of one syllable. LOL
It isn't just the pirating of user names Tickle, it's the false reporting that goes along with it and the unfair bannings these trolls have been responsible for.
A multi-layered conspiracy of misbehaviour affecting too many innocent users and admin needs to address this issue. Just because trolls are pirating names here in the pursuit of 'FUN', doesn't mean they confine their activity to this site. Awhile ago, I had people using one of my own favorite user names all over the web and it cost me plenty to get that mess straightened out, and it all started HERE. So I know how the people who've been pirated lately feel and it has to stop.

I believe something serious has taken place with your friends list......LOL! and someone or few persons appear to be playing pranks with you.........it seems to me. You are right that fake persons should not be allowed to come on to mylot and disturb others. There should be a check system that a person could not open an account with more than one name, I endorse your ideas.

There are pranks and there are pranks. Ones that hurt innocents are NOT nice and admin needs to pay more attention to user names entered on sign up, to stop the trolls from playing these games. And of course you are you dpk. SOME people just can't be 'duplicated' and you are one of them! Higgles.

The only problem with that cappy is that innocent people are getting banned........No, I think admin needs an alert system of their own when variations on user names are being entered, so they can 'vet' them before they allow them to be activated.

Spark, I didn't realize this was happening. But yesterday, I saw this guy's new name - he used his old one and added a word or two to it, showing it's his 2nd account. I recognized him by his first letters. I almost asked why he had another account since he's been on here for a long time. He was only up to 200+, so I knew something was going on.
Mylot should have a way of checking out these people. We can't have the same name and come from different places, which the IP address will let you know where we are. I think one way to stop this is to have us SIGN IN and present our password. That way, nobody could get into our account without being a hacker, and perhaps they could have something in place to even stop that. There has to be a way mylot can make this place more secure, or they are going to lose lots more people.

As I've said before Barb......YOU have brains. You know what you are reading and seeing. Not everyone can say the same. And then there are those that LOOK for problems.........it's a varied community we have here, which is why admin needs to step up and put measures in place that serve ALL users, not just a few.

Oh, I understand that. But the true friends should be able to tell the difference in the person doing this. I went and read this guy's profile and knew he was the real thing since I'd been reading his comments and discussions lots.
Anyway, they should have something in place to stop this! And they shouldn't be so quick to ban a person until they find out what really is going on. WHY, tell me would a person be willing to take a chance at losing their account when they had been here awhile and enjoying it, by starting another account almost identical to the one they already have? THIS is one thing that MYLOT needs to look at.
