Do you usually know ahead of time what your are going to prepare for dinner the next day? I usually have something in mind during the day as to what I need to take out of the freezer to defrost if I opt to have something from there.

Not usually. I think about it the morning of. Then I will call hubby at work and see if he'd like it.If he says he'd like to cook, I put it off for a day. And I never know. I may get a surprise and he will say "Let's go out".

I wish I could plan ahead, but it doesnt always work for me and I end up at 4 olclock most of the time trying to figure out what to make for that night...I do usually have an idea like, this week I am going to make a chili, and maybe a spaghetti ....but I never know what day I will make it, since my schedule changes from day to day. but Kudos to those who do, I wish I could!!

Yes, I usually plan the week out. It doesn't mean that we actually have what is planned out, but I try to be prepared. Then there are days when my plan is ruined because we have a sporting event that goes long and we end up eating at the consession stand. Then we have that nights dinner the following night.

I actually know a month in advance. I just made my meal planners for February yesterday, as a matter of fact. We're such a large family that I have to buy a lot of things in bulk (saves TONS of money), and I can't really spend well and use coupons well unless I know in advance what I'm going to be preparing. It's hard to figure out sometimes because, honestly, I would rather just go day to day...

I always plan ahead to what I am going to cook the next day. I usually will have to take something out to defrost. Last night I took out a pot roast. We will be cooking that in the crock pot today.
