What do you think of two families merging together after marriage? Has it worked for you? I was also wondering for those that never experienced the merging, do you think that you would find yourself doing that one day without a problem. Sometimes situations like that have a hard time working out.

I think it depends on how long the two families have been dealing with eachother. I don't see a problem with getting married and merging two families .. All families have issues wether they are merged or not. So merging a family might be stressfull and hard but well worth it in the end. You just take one day at a time that is all. LOL!!

Thank you for responding today. I think that you are right. It is going to be an adjustment no matter what but you take each day as it comes. There will always be problems and issues no matter what but you just need to accept each other.

hi bama ... in asia, the merging of two families after marriage is very common, the family involvement in the relationship especially if they are the family of "groom" is really too much at times ... believe me ... i share with u an incident that i never shared with anyone .. my mother in law .. advised her 45 year old son (my husband) never to let me sit on top, during 's##' as i will take full control of his life ... family merging is accepted to a level, where the partners (husband & wife) decide on the path of their life and the chilren without giving up on responsibilities to their parents and family .. cheers
