Do you set aside a certain day each week where you know that you are going to strip down the place and do serious cleaning. I don't usually do that. I just go little by little where my cleaning is concerned.

Serious cleaning is only a couple of times a year. But we do clean up on the weekends, usually Saturday.

If I try to set aside a day for cleaning - it never works out. Something always comes up. Even on days where I DO actually start cleaning, I only end up doing less than half of what I planned. Usually because I find things that hadn't planned on cleaning, but encounter in the process and so just do it. LOL. I mainly just clean as I find a moment. Do a few dishes while I'm cooking dinner, clean the bathroom after a shower, etc.

I used to do whole house cleaning on saturdays as my hubby and I both worked. But it takes away so much time from the family, so I decided to try to do it during the week to free up the weekends. Now mind you there is always something to do around the house and out of the house especially once winter is over, but a little goes along way at times. I say pace your self, the house work will still be there tomorrow. :)

I clean every single day, but on Saturdays I do the cleaning of the entire house. So anyone who comes to my house on Sunday will think I have a very clean house:) On Saturdays I do the bathrooms, the dusting, vaccuum. I do the other chores every other day and on Saturdays too.

Not really. I do dishes when I run out (I have 3 sets). I pick up when I start tripping over things or get blocked. Laundry is done when there is nothing that is clean, and vacuuming only when my allergies get the best of me. No, I'm not a bachelor, but my wife is just like me...expedient. We get no company (our choice), so we don't have to keep up any appearances.
