Should myLot reduce the minimum payout?

Hi, everyone :) I know myLot's current minimum payout level is $10, and has always been that way. I also know that some people don't see this as too difficult to reach; however, some people might. Has myLot ever said why they don't reduce their minimum payout to, say, $5? I'm guessing it's $10 so people will try to post, but they don't have to pay out as often as they would if it were $5. But on the other hand, it could encourage people to stay on the site since $5 is easier to reach than $10. I know I'd feel more encouraged if I could have a payout at $5, receive the payment, and keep trying to earn more. It just seems like a long way to go from 0-10. What do you all think? Should myLot reduce the payout to $5 instead of $10? Would they do that, and if not, have they said why they wouldn't? Happy myLotting :)

Yeah I agree with you, mylot should change their minimum payout to $5 and in that way we will be striving hard to reach that amount. $10 really a long long walk for me, I don't know about the rest mylotters. I am almost 1 month here in mylot but I earn a little not even reach $5. lol!But I'm still hoping that someday I can receive their payment. Enjoy Mylotting.

Same! Good luck to you :) Not only have I not reached anywhere close to $10, but you'd also have to reach it at the right time, or else wait an extra month to get paid. For me, even reaching $5 is difficult. I can't spend too much time here, and when I do, I only like responding to discussions where I feel like I can actually contribute.

I think its much better if they will make the minimum payout to 5 dollars. It makes more people be interested in mylotting and not lose hope. But i think Mylot made the minimum payout at 10 dollars so that the members will stay longer with them.

I think so too, but at the same time I think members would still stay long if they knew they could reach payout. I think some members can end up discouraged after realizing it could take so long to reach payout. I just read an article by someone who felt like it was a "waste of time" to reach the $10 payout, and that they wouldn't be returning. It makes me wonder how many other people feel that way. I don't see it as a waste of time. I wish it were $5, but the way I look at it is this: this site is SORT OF like Yahoo Answers, except we get paid instead of getting points. To me, that is better because what good are points? lol

your right at mere pennies per posting it does seem discouraging trying to reach that 10 dollar mark, i think they should lower it to 5 dollars as well. entice people as you said to try harder

I think thats not such a bad idea but I think they should just add the $5 dollars to the mylot payout list so mylotters can still choose what their minimum payout can be so they have the option to choose $5, $25, $35, $40 and so on.

I totally agree with you Infernal. For me too, its getting difficult to reach 10$. I have reached 1$ after a month lol...Well I had long gap here and I am back since few days. But last week too I couldn't post because of my exams. Yeah I would be even more encouraged if the payment was 5$. Sometimes, I get sick of mylot when I post many number of long posts and get only about 10-12 cents. It's very difficult to reach the payout.......

I don't mind it being $10. If I don't reach it one month I pretty well know I will the next so $10 every other month is just the same as $5 a month in my opinion. I really don't worry too much abut pay-out - it's nice if I make it but not to worry if I don't.

I sincerely hope they do reduce it to $5, i am sure that will give me at least more incentive to work harder because i feel that it is a very possible target that i can reach every month with that little bit of extra work. I am sure many members would agree with that ..

They should reduce it to 2$. It is very time consuming and require lot of effort to earn 10$ that requires approximately 1000 posts submission. If they reduce it to 5$, they can get more people on mylotters and mylot will look more reliable to people who have been waiting for thier 1000 posts while also thinking whether they will get paid or not - doubting mylot to be scam, etc. So, it will be a good idea if mylot could reduce minimum payout to atleast 5$ and looks like most mylotters want this implemented.

hello! yeah, i think they should, it is a bit hard to reach the minimum payout of $10. It would help if they minimize it to $5 so we can request for it, and be motivated more here in mylot.

I think they should reduce payout to $5. I agree that people would work harder if the goal is easier to reach. I know I would.

For me the minimun is fine as I'm trying to reach a higher goal anyways. I do feel that if they would lower it then more people would post more. I think it's a good idea in general for them to lower it to $5. I also think they should pay a little more per post. This would make people want to type more also.

Well ,I'm a new comer here.Tough I didn't know much about the minimum payout ,I definitely belive that reducing the minimum payour will encourage people to stay in this site and give their opinions.

Well I would think that if they lowered the payout then people wouldn't work so hard to reach the payout of $10.00. So I think it's a number they have settled on so that it's reasonable to reach. I don't work at it very hard, a few discussions here to keep the ball rolling and then commenting on other discussions. If you don't make payout this month they are not going to take your money away. It will be there next month.

You are correct! but it is not in our hands! some times we must obey the rules and regulations! so i think the $10 is not bad! thanks! http://amazing-life2009.blogspot.com/

Ya they should decrease the minimum pay out because they will not do it because this is the earning of the all online programmes that some body will work for some time and with frustration he/she will leave the site then they keep all the money with them

I agree with you, if the minimum pay out is $5, I will work hard to reach. But $10 is a little too much, so we have a long way to go from 0-10. Happy mylotting!

Hello infernal! Well, $10 is ok for me. I made more than that in a month. I don't really know why they made it $10. Maybe because they just want their members to stay and post and post. It's like motivation for each members.
