do you do that everyday? and tell your kids to practice that? I do, when I was younger my parents would scold me for not doing so. Now i have a habit that i must tidy up my bed whenever I wake up.. which is good it makes my bedroom tidy.. and i feel tidy. do you do this too?

This is not one of the things that I do in the morning. I get up and look for my coffee which I want to drink in the patio. Cheers!!

Sure, it is my routine. I would turn over the quilt half down, so as to let out the humidity, or whatever, if any. When I finish breakfast, I will be back to make up the bed, and do the cleaning. These are my routine before sitting down for mylotting. Quite often, some boys do not feel like to make the bed, even in dormitories. Their excuse is anyway we will be back in for sleep in the evening. Actually, it is more than a habit of personal sanity. It is to influence your way of life in the long run, and once a habit in place, it is hard to change. If in office or at job, you are leaving things about, in addition to a negative impression, your job effectiveness and efficiency are likely to be affected.

no.I do not like it at all. I hate this thing. But unfortunately I stay at hostel. It does not matter I like it or not.but i have to do this thing. But when I stay at home my mother does this job for me.actually I am very untidy in nature.I do not find any positive side of being tidy. I think one day I will sure overcome this laziness.and then onwards I will be very much tidy.

In India it is believed that not tidiying the bed brings disease to the members of the household. So we were taught that the first thing to be done when we get up from the bed is to tidy it.I teach my son to do the same.

I live by myself and I never fix my bed, only if I'm going to have a visit over my house then I'll try to make everything look nice and clean, fix my bed, stuff like that, but if I'm alone I don't really care much, I mean you get up fix your bed, then at night you're going to mess it up again so what's the point on fixing it anyway.

I was trained also by my Parents to do that and I am glad! I always do this in the morning! I know it takes someone to be used to it since I have known people who are just contented leaving the mess after waking up! LOL! Enjoy!

Yep, all of us make our beds right after we get dressed every morning. I didn't for years and I noticed that the bedroom seemed to "fall apart" quicker. As soon as I started making my bed regularly and encouraging the kids to do the same, the rooms have been staying neater much longer. :-) I like that!

I was always made to tidy my bed up when I lived with my parents. In fact, I wasn't even allowed breakfast until I did. These days, I'm a bit more relaxed about it, and don't worry too much if the beds aren't made. Pulling the blankets back means the bed airs out and isn't as inviting to bed bugs etc. The beds are then made when I get the chance too, though that is usually just before bedtime these days.

Well, it was a cultivated habit since young. Yes, scolding if not done which I think is a good discipline. I don't think I can ever get out of bed without tidying it up. I know of someone who says it's ok just to leave the stuff the way they are since we're gonna use it again at nightWhat a lame excuseWhy not say since we need to bathe / eat everyday, why not just do it once in a week as it saves us time & money?

This is something that I was slacking in the past. Sometimes I would make the beds and most of the times I would just leave them a mess. One of my goals this year is to try and make the beds everyday. So far I'm doing pretty well with it.

Yes Yes Yes:D I love to do it before I leave my bedroom in the morning so that if I feel sleepy after my busy day I can lay on my comfortable bed. I can not sleep in messy room. Oh, want thing, I only can study if my room is tidy hehe....so I don't have choice to let my room messy.

Well I fold up my blanket and put it on the pillow neatly every morning as soon as I get up.The rest of the things of tidying up my bed, changing the sheets and putting the pillow covers are always done by the maid who comes by 9 am daily.

Hi lovesummer. Yes it is. As soon as I wake up, I tidy up my bed before I headed to the bathroom. Though sometimes I ask my boyfriend to do it in order for him to make it a habit too. Same as your parents, I was raised that I had to do my bed when I woke up or else my Mom would scold me. Its a good discipline that im thankful of so I guess I will also do such to my future children.

When I was a kid I never made my bed, my mom always made it because she could't stand a messy bed. Now I make my bed every day. It feels nice getting in your bed at night when it's all nice and fixed.

Sadly no, i only tidy or clean my bed about once a week.Maybe im just a lazy person. But it doesnt mean my bed is smelly or messed up.As long as my bed is still good to sleep on then i didnt care to clean it.
