Riddles

While surfing the net I bumped into a page about the movie Batman Forever. I am by no means a Batman fan myself, but it said that in the movie Bruce and Alfred eventually solved these riddles, each one having a number in it: 1. "If you look at the numbers on my face, you won't find 13 anyplace." 2. "Tear one off and scratch my head; what was once red is now black instead." 3. "The eight of us go forth, not back, to protect our king from a foe's attack." 4. We're five items of an everyday sort; you'll find us all in 'a tennis court'." Can you solve these riddles? Do you have any of your own?

Dogsnme is right, my riddle is simple, what's black and white, and read all over? There are two right anwsers to this one, maybe more if you want to throw in a Zebra.LOL!!

1. clock 2. match 3. chess pawns 4. vowels, a,e,i,o,u

number 1 is a clock the rest I have no idea. Dang guess I need to pay more attention in the movies.

Number 2 is a match. Number 3 is a pawn in chess, i think. No idea what number 4 is.

1 is of course a clock, and number 4 is probably the vowels A E I O and U. The rest, I'm totally strumped...
