Would you rather earn $50,000 a year while other people made $25,000, or earn $100,000 a year while others got $250,000?

Who do you mean by "other people"? Everybody else in the world? Whichever one can get me more stuff.

50K would be fine. The more you have the more you spend, I don't need 100K to live.

i would say i rather earn the amount that my ability deserve.if i work smart, i expect to get paid more than i work hard.i rather lead a healthy and enriching life then to get caught up in the rat race.i do not like the thought of my life with only 1 goal and that is to make more and more money.

For me money is not that Important, ok we all need money to live and get food in to supply the family with but im not like that, as long as i have enough food for the family then im happy, it does not bother me that people are earnings more than me, thanks

Well it depends... if others you mean like everyone in your counrty then 50,000. Because inflation and all that jazz. But if everyone like my co-workers or friends than 100,000. More money is still nice even if others make more. maybe they'll even treat me to a dinner sometime ;).

I will take the $100,000 and be happy. Shoot, I would take the $50,000 and be happy. I read about that study as well, it is absurd what jealousy can do for attitude.
