who is responsible

Just the other day 18 years old daughter of my neighbor eloped with their personal vehicle driver. Now as the parents are fretting I am brooding as to what must have caused this accident or incident?

well in this case we can't tell any particular person is responsible for it ,it completely depends on individual mentality and the teen age,in this age one should have to control her/himself ,they should think what they are doing is good or bad.Another thing parents may control but not always it is possible.

Nicely put Satyakam. I feel besides the children themselves the parents/guardians too have a major role to play. They must understand the need of their children and can not stay folded hand that all would go all nicely. Complacences could be dangerous sometime.

Daughters or sons go for romance when they have the feeling that they are not being loved at their homes. These kind of children will try to find love somewhere else. So when a guy tells her that he loves her, it will be a great thing for her. And she will be ready the next movement to do anything for the guy, without taking into consideration, his past and his character. I am not judging anybody. It might have been that the girl didn't understand her parents love for her. Or may be the parents didn't express their love for her openly and instead kept it in their hearts.
