It seems as long as there are separate parties, there will never really be true bi-partisanship. I wonder how many voted for or against because they really felt that way about the plan or voted with their party?

I would like to think that, especially with this issue, that they are all voting their conscience. I do realize that probably isn't the case! This is one time that they all need to forget the party politics, the pork barrel spending, and paying back people for their campaign vote and think of the American people and what is best for our country.

I agree with you, wholeheartedly!! I just think that we will never have a perfect government as long as humans run it. LOL

no surprise NY's Higgins voted for this. I've emailed him and called his office many times to protest this and I get a blame game email it's all Bush's fault. I don't care who or what caused this mess... it doesn't justify outragous spending that won't help the American people... only hurt us in the end.

The "it's Bush's fault" is an old excuse and a poor one at that! Where's the change?

I'm glad to see my representative voted nay. I was almost certain he would have. He is a pretty level headed conservative. If only I could vote more representatives in. Thanks for that tool. It is pretty useful.

When the office comes up again, I most definitely will not be voting for our current Representatives - I honestly didn't think he would be that stupid, regardless of his party affiliation!

Well I am proud to say mine actually showed some balls and voted no. I will have to make sure I write and tell him what a good job he did (this time).

I definitely think we need to be keeping track of what our elected officials are doing and giving them feedback - positive or negative - regarding how we stand on all issues.
