I can never work well with long nails. They come in the way of typing and writing. I cant hold my pen properly and somehow, become uncomfortable. They look lovely on the hands, but I cannot get used to them whilst working. A little growth is ok, but not the lovely long ones. Besides, if one breaks, all the trouble of growing them and keeping them clean and in shape is gone in a giffy. Tell me your views.

I can't stand long nails either! They are so uncomfortable! I also really like don't like the way newly cut nails feel! I usually cut my nails shorter than I like, that way I don't have to cut them as often. I cut my nails last Friday, and today they are right at the perfect length. Not too short, but not too long either. I like getting long pretty acrylic nails for special occasions. They look so gorgeous. But they drive me crazy! So I don't get them done often.

I cut my nails to the extent I want them to look good, so that means I cut them at least once in two weeks to keep them in shape and size. Ive never put on acrylic nails, so I wouldnt know, but how do they drive you crazy. Do they keep falling off or do they hurt.????

They're just longer than I'm used to. It makes it difficult to type or push buttons and stuff. They don't fall off or hurt or anything... in fact, I don't really notice them unless I'm trying to do something with my fingers!

Like you I cannot have long nails because party of my job is to type everyday and I need to type as fast as I can and as accurate as I can. It's difficult to get things done with long nails if you are the type who doesn't usually do typing or somebody who doesn't use the computer then it's ok.

Oh yes, college days we used to deck up and keep long nails and had no tension. But once we start working and household chores are a part of your job, then, no long nails unfortunately, though they look good.

I really do not have any issues working with long nails. I actually prefer typing and working with long nails because it's easier and quicker for me to hit keys or grab ahold of things. I don't like really long nails though and will cut them if they are reaching a point where they are getting too long for use.

Wow, you are one of a kind. You actually prefere typing with long nails. I can never do that, besides doing chores and keeping them clean is another headache. I prefer to keep them to a sensible length only. Thanks.

I dont have long nails and i cannot keep them long cos i am never comfortable with long ones. Moreover with long nails u cant do ur laundry or other chores at home. Its not hygenic too as dirt tends to accumulates under them.Anytime i would keep short nails..

Well said walnut. Its never conducive to work and it just keeps getting in the way and breaking. If they break even, ok, if not, you have painful days ahead of you. And yes, with dirt accumulating, unhygenic too. We are better off without long nails. Cheers.

I love long nails, but I cant keep them. I am a working woman, and also I have to do the household chores. When we were in college, we could do all this, but not after we got responsibilities in life. I like to keep my nails just long enough to be healthy, for I never bite my nails. Thanks.
