Can someone tell me a bit more about Blue Tooth? What does it do, and how do I use it? My LG 550 Fusic cellphone has the option, and I don't know what to do with it. Please let me know how it is useful.

Its a devise that you can use to talk on the phone with without actually having the phone to your ear, they say its safer to drive with, not sure about the research on that one, sounds more like a marketing tool. Use your bluetooth to sync music to your phone, telephone numbers, if it came with instructions those are helpful or you can play the person who doesn't know how it works and have somebody at the phone store show you how to do it.

Bluetooth is the wireless technology developed by Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG), a trade association comprised of leaders in the telecomnunication, computing, automotive, industrial automation and network industries. Bluetooth technology conforms to low cost short range wireless specification for connecting mobile devices and bringing them to market. The used of bluetooth is to connect and transfer information between things like cellphones, laptops and PCs, printers, digital cameras, and video game consoles using radio frequencies securely.

Because its a short range maximum of only up maybe 100 meters. For mobile phones their using the 0.13 micron CMOS, with the dimension of 4.5 x 4.5 millimeters.

i will tell clearly.......using bluetooth u can transfer ur data to other mobile...for example, if u want to transfer or send a song from ur mobile to your friend's mobile, u have to select that song, u friend should switch on his bluetooth in his mobile, then u select an option send in ur mobile via blue tooth..then the song will b sent to your friend's mobile...thats it...this is bluetooth's function...not only songs, wall papers, pictures, screen savers,e.t.c, dont get confused with above technical responses....

Hi Danishcanadian, It is just one of the technologies to allow you to transfer data. You can enable bluetooth then transfer to and fro songs and pictures with another friend who has bluetooth enabled too. You can read more from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bluetooth : Bluetooth is a wireless protocol for exchanging data over short distances from fixed and mobile devices, creating personal area networks (PANs). It was originally conceived as a wireless alternative to RS232 data cables. It can connect several devices, overcoming problems of synchronization. Bluetooth uses a radio technology called frequency-hopping spread spectrum, which chops up the data being sent and transmits chunks of it on up to 79 frequencies. In its basic mode, the modulation is Gaussian frequency-shift keying (GFSK). It can achieve a gross data rate of 1 Mb/s. Bluetooth provides a way to connect and exchange information between devices such as mobile phones, telephones, laptops, personal computers, printers, Global Positioning System (GPS) receivers, digital cameras, and video game consoles through a secure, globally unlicensed Industrial, Scientific, and Medical (ISM) 2.4 GHz short-range radio frequency bandwidth. The Bluetooth specifications are developed and licensed by the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG). The Bluetooth SIG consists of companies in the areas of telecommunication, computing, networking, and consumer electronics. Etc.

Bluetooth can be use for transferring files from your cellphone to other devices like other cellphones or computer--you can also use it for handsfree use for making a call..having a bluetooth feature in your cellphone can make your device very useful--just turn it on and search for any devices you wish to transfer a file with just remember to turn it off after using it--there are some virus that can enter your cellphone through it

To me, a bluetooth is something that is so ridiculous, and years ago, people would have been laughed at and made fun of it they toted something like a bluetooth out their ear. But as times change, I guess it is now "cool" to be walking downt the street or in the store talking to yourself!! My 2 year old grand daughter was with us one day, and my husband (who would have been one laughing at someone with that hanging out their ear!) was trying to put his together, and my grand daughter looks at him and says "what are you doing?" and he says "Oh, just trying to fix my cell phone". She says "Are you trying to put on a bluetoof?" We both were shocked and looked at each other - what the heck does she know about bluetooth's enough to know that is what he was doing? I asked her how she knows about bluetooth and she says "mommy has one..." and ran down the list of all the people at her mom's house(mom lives with her parents) that have bluetooths hanging out their ears!!! She asked to try it nad he handed it to her and she put the deal on her ear just perfectly and thought she was the greatest!! GOod luck with yours tho!

Geez, that gadget on your ear is not cool at all. Every time I see one, I say God Bless Him since he has a hearing problem (the hearing aid looks quite the same and it is hard to differentiate unless the person starts talking to himself which likely means he has a bluetooth receiver on his ear).

I started doing that too, until I realized that the bluetooth is alot bigger than a earing aid these days. I just don't understand why people want something hanging out their ear all the time that makes them look like their going robotic! No one needs to be that accessible or available so much, so often, that they need to have that hanging out their ear. Yes, it is a luxury and just something fun to have (I guess... I think it is stupid and wasteful, but that's just my opinion!) still... you are walking around basically talking to yourself - at least that is how it appears! I have turned to answer a question I thought someone asked of me, only to see them chatting to thin air!

Blue Tooth is when you don't brush or floss your teeth and they are about to fall out! JUST kidding... sorry, I couldn't resist. I'm sure someone else here who has a better understanding of bluetooth technology can explain it much better than I. :)

Bluetooth is short range Wireless (10m~100m), you can transferring data from PC or other cellphone. Bluetooth not just using in your cellphone, but it use in any product (Printer, Scanner, etc.). Data can change to be sound and video, i use it for access to internet with cellphone from PC. PC sending data to cellphone and cellphone received data from PC, and after cellphone accepting data from operator cellphone provider then it will return sending a data to cellphone then PC. But, you know now we can access data from Wireless with a long range (100m~1000km).

You don't know never mind I'll tell you Its basically used for transferring data from one mobile to another so you can share your favorite music with friends and send images too but only in a limited distance ok. Make sure to have your antivirus on otherwise you are likely to get a virus installed and I know you don't want that. So happy sharing...

From what i understand its the ability to connect certain devices to other devices via the "bluetooth" wireless network. I've used it to transfer music and photos from my phone to a computer with out having to mail them via the cell browser and therefore saved money. I know a vet that uses it to transfer the eartags numbers he scans with a bar coder from the bar coder to the computer to upload to the government (ya know mad cow tracking)

In a simple description, Bluetooth is a technology that enable us to transfer a data in wireless sense. It is pretty similar to infrared but it has higher data rate. In cellphone for example you can exchange a picture with your friend, transfer a file or contact details, etc. Before you transfer the file you need to enable the functionality first (in most of phones are under connection menu). One you enable, you need to ask anyone that want to transfer and information to activate their bluetooth. Select a file that you/your friend want to transfer and select the bluetooh option.

bluetooth is a technology cell phones that can transfer another data from 1 cell phones to another. many of cell phones nowadays have bluetooth, because this technology is very useful. bluetooth have a weakness, their range is very small so we can transfer our data only with someone that near us.
