20 friend requests.

February 4, 2009 4:04am CST
Over the last two days I have had 20 friend requests from people i have never interacted with at all. I never accept a friend until i have interacted with them at least once (normally more). Do you have a guideline for who you accept as a friend or do you just accept everyone who invites you?

That speaks volumes of your pro activeness, smurfuk. Congratulations! When I started off, I used to accept every request that I would get. And now, I go through the user's profiles and study the kind of posts he/she in interested in and then accept. There are many who just send request to spam you with affiliated links. I try to avoid them. Good luck!

Thank you, i am still quiet a new user to Mylot and am still finding my feet. I find there is a good comunity spirit on here. A few idiots but a lot less than many sites. I feel i have found a .... not a home but more like a friendly bar where you can just pop out to and have a chat with mates about anything.

I accept every request even honestly saying I haven't swapped any msg with them. I am not here on myLot to look for friends, either, I have never requested any friend myself. I think it's nice to accept a "friend" if someone has asked. It doesn't hurt.

Is there a down side to having too many friends on mylot? I guess i just got facebook fever - lots of invites from strange people, who after a few days start spamming messages to me.

in mylot? Well, i normally just accept anybody who invites me to be a friend. This increases my chances to earn in a way. Because i get to have more options in the discussions i respond to. And the probability of my discussions being responded to is also higher.

Inever have guidelines in accepting a request for friends. I also receive some request but I usaully accept anybody who wants to be my friend. But when they ask me something like want me to be their referral or ask me to do a favor on their personal busines? it turned me off. I frankly told them that if their purpose of having m as friend is to bother me about referral thing? I will delete their names on my list. Lol and these people had stop bugging me about being their referral. I could say, some people want you to be on their list because they need something from you and afteryou help them, you will never see them again. That is not good.
