Total Frustration

First of all, I want to apologize for not being there for anyone for the last few days. This computer of mine has not co-operated in my attempts to respond to some of your posts. OK, I have been having so much trouble I don't know wherre to begin.One thing is if I do manage to respond to a post, I hit the submit button and it appears to go but then the computer freezes up. I end up having to escape and have no idea if it went through. When I try to forward and email sent to me or if I try to send some pictures to my sister last night, she received not one but 150 emails from me. This has been happening for a long time. It is preventing me from enjoying my Mylot friends. Can anyone help me before I lose my mind? Hugssss to all leenie

Mine froze the minute your discussion came up! Thanks leenie! ROFL My computer used to do that, and I was advised by a wet behind the ears techie from Microsoft to unplug my computer, let the battery run down, turn it off, wait a bit, plug the computer back in, turn it on, let the battery recharge and then connect to the net and things should be fine. It seemed to work, but my screen still freezes at times and that is sooooooooo annoying.

Hey Daffy, Talk about being daft!!! I wish I could go to a computer school to learn how to fix these problems. But, a little too late for that. I just pray that one of my Mylot buddies comes to my rescue!! They are my only hope. It's so good to see my non computer genius buddies come to support me. What would I do without you guys. If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck, it's GOT to be Daffy! ROFL I have also discovered that if my computer virus scans are running while I'm actively on the net, that my screen freezes and hiccups until the scans are done. Check the schedule on your own scans and set them for a time when you aren't active on the computer (make sure your computer is turned on though! Quack, Quack!lol) and see if that helps.

Leenie50 I have added you to my friends and if you message me I can walk you through fixing your comp I do this all the time for a friend of mine that know nothing about computers I just hate to see someone having trouble like that I know what I went through before I learned what to do and how to do it good luck but I am here if you need me!

Hi sxr, Did you read the part where when I email something or forward something it goes out multiple times? I took care of the other things, like the cookies and internet files, etc. But the email thing is my haunting problem. Do you think you can help me there? leenie

Can't help with the computer problem, but I can give you a hug. I know computer problems are a little more than frustrating if you don't know anything about computers. I am sure someone here will be able to help, though. Hugs leenie

I missed you. I missed you. I missed you. I missed you. Really I did. I was wondering about your absence and also of another of my friend's here. Computer problem will be sorted out soon but you are hale and hearty that's so relieving. And dear pls fix it soon, I don't want to miss out on you any more. BTW, I was wondering how did your sister manage those 150 mails!!

Hi Mim, You are so dear!! You really are a sweetie. I missed you too. I've been a little down and this machine has only added to my frustrations. I'm fine though. Hearing from all my great friends like you really perks up my spirits. You'd think with this precious new puupy I have that I would be high as a kite and most of the time I am. He just makes me laugh all the time, even when I'm down a little. I want to put some more pictures of him on my profile soon. He's already 4 months. Oh, my sister was so sweet about the 150 emails. I had written her and apologized for all the emails and she said it was not a problem. She felt so bad about my frustrations over my computer. If it had been my twin sister, she would have sent me a witchie email telling me how awful it was and how her poor husband had to delete them all. I'm so glad to have one sister who loves me and cares what happens to me, without critisizing and judging. It was so good to hear from you Mim. I'll get this fixed and be back in the saddle again. Just saw the pics - he is so adorable. No wonder you are always on high when with him! It makes such a big difference when you are down. Yesterday my uncle passed away and I was mylotting to get out of it - a futile attempt though. But words from you, dear friends, help. It helped. I am so glad to know that you have an understanding sister, even my sisters are sweet hearts. And thanks for being my friend. Smiles your way...

Mim, I am so sorry for your loss. That is far more important than a stupid computer. How are you doing today? My last uncle passed away about 6 months ago maybe longer. He was my Moms only brother and was there for us kids when we were younger.My other two uncles were by marriage and was not the same. Each day will be a little bit easier. Hi Leenie, Sorry to hear that you have been having problems. I did experience something like this a few months ago and changed to using the fFirefox browser which is free to download and now I can send PMs and it doesn't freeze on myLot. I have never had poblems with multiple emails being sent though but some joke ones that you have sent me I have received two or three times rather than just the once in the past. I hope someone knows how to resolve this for you as I know how frustrating it can be. I haven't been here much the last couple of weeks myself as busy in other areas. Huggles. Ellie :D

Hi sweet Ellie, I remember when you were having problems. I don't even know what my browser is? I think it's Internet Explorer. Can you add Firefox too. I've been busy as well. Actually that sounds like a virus....maybe you can check somehow to see if your security program can pinpoint it and get rid of it...I hope you get if figured out!

Yes..go under your control panel into the systems....you should see your AVG there then do a quick scan of your computer...

I would take my computer to a repair shop or have someone who fixes computers come to my house and take a look. Sending one picture and getting 150 sounds a little bizarre. I'm not a computer guru so can't offer you any suggestions or helpful advice here. Wouldn't it be nice to have a computer that never makes a mistake, doesn't get viruses and can be used for years without any repairs? I would pay more for a computer that is perfect!

Hi mindy, Welcome to mylot!! I think you will love it here. If you have read some of my responses, you will see how great the people (friends) are here. If you have a problem and they can't help, they will wish you luck and hope the best for you. Just like you are doing for me. How great is that? Where else are you going to find people like this? We missed you leenie so much.I thought where is leenie.Now I think every thing is OK.Your computer is not disobedient to you.It's now properly responding.In my case also myLot friends are very close to me.When I could not contact with them I feel very uneasy.I feel we are of same family.Thank you very much.

Hi bhanusb, I'm so glad that everyone understands why I haven't been here for a few days. With everything going on in my life and then the computer business, I just had to back away for a while. Sometimes that's the best thing to do. It's nice to know I've been missed. When I finish fixing this computeer, I'll be back full force. And yes, I agree that we are one big happy family. Hi srainow, Welcome yourself. I'm always happy to meet new members!! It Cost money to talk to a tech. Besides, I want to learn how to do this myself, even if it is the hard way. I hope you have found the answer by now I am late at answering. The only thing I know of is to clean out your cache, delete your cookies, and your temporary files, go to your add and remove section and uninstalled the programs that you don't use, clean out your recycle bin. That is all I can think of now. i I can think of anything else I will get back too you. I hope this helps.

Oh yeah that would be frustrating, maybe your computer has picked up a virus from somewhere? coz they do funny things like that when they have one.

Here is wishing you all the best of luck, I left a note for you and I don't know if you got it or not, but now that I see this my concerns are for your health and well being that includes all of your possessions. Now we know possessions can be fixed what do I do about my situation I suspect there is not a whole lot that I can do... I just have to wait and see what will happen next.

Hi Leenie! Well as I promised you I would come over here and read your problem to see if I could help, it is just as I thought...the only thing I could help you do is Crash It!! So you make sure if you ever want to crash your computer you give me a call, I'm pretty sure I could accomplish that in just a few minutes!!! ;) Other than that the only thing I can do is send you a couple of Very Big Hugs and my well wishes for you getting it straightened out very soon. I've always said the 2 things that can make me crazier than anything else is a car that doesn't work and now that I have a computer...a computer that doesn't work. I don't know which one is worse and I really feel sorry for you as it appears you have both at the same time! :(

Thanks greeneyes, I'm not risking giving this virus to anyone. I'm still working on the computer and my hubby is working on the car. I'm crossing my fingers and saying a few prayers. I'm hoping we both are successful. I can't tell you how happy I am to see you back. To be honest, with all my computer problems, I didn't realize you werre gone. I am keeping my fingers crossed for you and your Hubby for getting your car and computer fixed and don't worry you're pretty little head about it, just e-mail when it is safe and you've got everything fixed, at least now you have my e-mail address so you'll be able to get in touch with me even if something should happen again!
