What do you do to earn money?

I think it's pretty obvious that everyone must do something to get money to live each month as we all need to eat if nothing else and I find that some people have come up with very creative ways to earn money. But I think that all people are interesting individuals no matter what they do to earn their money each month and I would like to know what you do for a living? Believe me when I tell you I am not only interested in creative ways to earn money I would just like to get to know my friends here at myLot better and would like to know what anyone that wishes to respond to this discussion does to earn a paycheck. Have you been trained for a certain job that you do? Have you happened into the job? Do you work outside of the home each day or maybe you earn your living on the Internet from home, possibly live on benefits while you are out there trying to find a job or maybe your partner or parents earn the money and you spend your time taking care of the home which in itself is a full time job! Personally I work from home building Websites and it is a job that I taught myself mostly with a little help from some very generous people that have helped me get out of a jam more than once! So tell me...what do you do to earn money each month?

Hi Greeneyedlady, My background really has always been in sales and then I moved into Law a few years ago and at present am doing a degree in Adveanced Criminology, however my ay to day job of work to earn money at this moment in time is working with a Royal Marine Training Camp which I thoroughly enjoy. Oncve my son is older I may reconsider career again but this suits me fine for now as the shut down periods coicide with the main school holidays. I also do surveys online and get a little extra from the Lot which I save and use to buy presents with at birthday times. May not seem too exciting for some but I work with a great bunch of people and have fun there. You are asking all of us, so tell them all what it is you do too. Huggles. Ellie :D

Hi Greeneyedlady, Oh I am curious now to know who the other person you know is LOL. I think enjoying your work is very important as we do spend a lot of time there. I am just reading back my original responses and the amount of typos is terrible, but I have not really been online much at all lately and brain thinks faster than my fingers type LOL.Huggles. Ellie :D

Hi Ellie! Yes, I think when you enjoy your work, no matter what it may be, it makes it a lot easier to get up in the morning and go to the place you are going to spend the next 8 or ? hours at! Don't worry about the typos Ellie, I've learned to read through them most of the time, I know this one person that makes so many typos that sometimes you think she is cooking socks instead of stock!! ;)

My offline job is delivering pizzas. For my "online job," I do MyLoy, Ciao.com, eBay, and Compareby.us. I'm always looking for new things to do. I'll keep the sites that are promising. I don't really like those sites where it takes forever to earn your payout, or you can't really see your earnings, so you know where you're at.

Thanks for the vote of confidence. However, if I could find something I could do at home to make serious money, I would. I would love to be able to stay home with my kids, but unfortunately, that hasn't happened yet. I'll just have to do what I can until either I can find that kind of job, or we get rid enough of our debt that we can, eventually, live on my husband's income...whenever he get's back to work.

Hi CRSunrise! I think that it is admirable for someone to work offline and Online as so many people say that they are self-employed and earn their money Online but are in fact on are on some social welfare system and have no intention of taking a job outside the home, especially doing something like delivering pizzas or working at McDonald's. Many people now days claim to earn a living working Online but that is hard to believe with so many scam sites out there and many just want to be able to sit at home all day every day pretending to be doing something and waiting for the "big" payout. There are not a lot of people like you that know you must work for what you get in this World. So many just want to make a living doing nothing or hardly nothing while sitting at home. I think we all know that you don't get something for nothing! My hats off to you and I wish you much luck working Online, it's people like you that I really hope make it! Thanks for your response! ;)

Well obviously I earn quite a bit just by working online. Most of the sites I used to earn money from however have started paying less and I'm not working at them as much as I used to. I mostly use Mylot not as my main way to earn money online because it's the place that pays me the most each month, or rather each month I'm able to get payout. I also babysit on the side. I get paid $10 an hour, always one hour at a time to play with a kid. The parents want someone to interact with him while they do things around the house so we play, watch TV and I talk to him. He's an english language learner so it helps him having someone to engage him in English. Other than that, that is all I do to make money at this time. I'm still in school so I really do not have much time for other options.

Hi highflyingxangel! And congratulations to being able to make quite a bit of money by working Online. It is not an easy thing to do and I dare say that not too many people do make much working Online. Congratulations also for having much sought after baby sitting skills where you get paid a nice hourly pay, again you are lucky! Good luck with your future and your school, I hope all works out well for you! Thanks for your response! ;)
