I think sometimes marriage can change people because you have to change your way of thinking and living because you are sharing your life with someone else. You have to take each others feelings into consideration. You aren't living for yourself anymore, but you are living for your spouse as well.

I would have to say that in my experince No. I have been married for 8yrs and we lived together for 9months before we got married. We still do all the things we did back then and still have our own identity. Now the thing that changes you is when you have kids. Then you have to do stuff alittle different. You can still be yourself and take care of them.

hi mermaidivy! i hate to say this, because i think that marriages should not change us but still make us individuals. however, thankfully, i can say that i have changed since i got married. but for the better, so i can't complain. people say that i am more jolly now, no longer a grouch, or at least my grouchiness has obviously diminished. also, i am kinder and more gentler towards my spouse, whereas while we were still dating, i was so critical, that was why we had a lot of problems. and yeah, we are so much happier now that we are married than we were just dating. so yeah, obviously i have changed, and i am happy with it. take care and God bless you! happy mylotting! :D

Hello mermaidivy! Well, all I know is that the only constant here on earth is change. I think I noticed that after I got married, I am more matured. For example, before when I was not married yet, I joke all the time with my friends, but now that I am married, I am more carefree now.
