I used to take for granted the work of a student before where I just get money from my mother as my allowance and spend it the way I want to spend it without knowing how hard it is to earn money. When I started to work, I started missing being a student, where my only obligation is just to study. If I will be asked which I prefer among the two I would love to be a student forever. For me, to working is more stressful than studying. I learned to value money since the day I started to work.

I like both because working is something to do and keeps me occupied and you need to work every now and then or else your constant free time can get boring and repetive. I also like studying becuase you can learn a lot of cool new information and it also keeps you busy. I think I like studying bettter though but I don't really have that a cool of a job right now so maybe that's why.

It can be a combined one Janelacson. I was an engineering student 7 years before and now I am an Senior Engineer. But still I did my M.B.A. last year only .. I enjoyed my higher studies in correspondence and still enjoyed my work life and earned money. It all depends on the importance you are giving, either to work or to studies..

Men, i will prefer the two now! cause its not easy being a student without good or partime income. So if it can be possible its okay. It actually depends on your situation, if you have people or parents that give s you money no problem you can be a student all your life for all you care but if not...hmmm you will consider living in the two worlds.

Yes, but we all have to grow up sometime, you know. The goal is to study something that you would like to do for a living, for your job, for the rest of your life. Something you enjoy doing. If you like studying, then you should get a job studying. Find a job that suits you. Of course, working is harder. It means you are responsible for yourself and no longer a child that your parents must support. I love my job! I am doing what I always wanted to to all my life. Or at least I found something I enjoy to do for a living. I think it is where I was meant to be. But I had to tolerate hard working conditions for many years at jobs I didn't like in order to get here. Set yourself goals, acheive them. That is what LIFE is all about. The journey. Once you get there, there is nothing left to achieve and life loses some meaning because of it. So I strive to learn something new every day. That way I am productive, no matter what small thing I have accomplished. AHH, for I have accomplished something! So, really, I am what you desire to be.....a student of life. In whatever career you work at, you can still strive for better, for more. Learn all that you can, wherever you are, wherever you are, and keep telling yourself that you WILL acheive your dream. And one day it will become a reality!

Studying is way more relaxed compared to the working life. I learnt how to appreciate the time I had especially those long semester breaks during my studying life. In the working life..I'll be counting the days and months to the next public holiday..and looking forward to the weekends. But I do like working where it gave me the sense of actually accomplishing my work in a day and most of the time it felt really satisfying. Conclusion..I love studying life...haha.. :) Princess

Working. I have three jobs. I work on a ranch, in a feed store, and i'm a waitress. I love working and would rather do nothing but hard work. :)

I'm still a student, a university student and haven't have to earn a living for myself yet or for my daily expenses. Although my parents are now pushing me to earn my own money which is pressurising me. I think i'm starting to learn the value of money as they are limiting my allowance and i'm forced to rethink about the things i buy. In fact i'm a cheapskate when i lack money. I'll be unwilling to buy anything, especially clothes haha. I bet working is more stressful because it's a lot more responsibility and you're expected to work hard for your money. On the plus side you get paid and it could be a career start. So you're at least in the workforce already. Well wouldn't it be great if you can remain s student forever and not be expected to earn money. Although studying is really a tough thing and needs discipline in order to be successful and graduate. /sigh.. this is life.

Nice to hear that you learned how to value money jane,In my case I rather go for work instead of studying. So much TIRED of doing so many assignments, projects, exams and thesis per Se!I guess, everyone's ultimate goal is to be happy and am sure it would be happier if we're spending our needs using our own pocket perhaps it will surely minimize our parents burden.

I totally agree with you!! Only when we did not know the stress of a employee, we dare say we prefer to be an employee because of those hard-earned money. Being a student brought me so much pleasure which I can't find when being an employee. I hope I could bring back my schooltime.

Eilow janelacson!!! Hw are you? Yeah I really agree w/ u that working is more stressful than studying..For me being a student is quite awesome and exciting rather than to have worked...As a student you can enjoy life. Going together w/ ur barkadas and have some bonding moments w/ your teachers...Experience and learning also takes place..While if you have a worked all of your attention, time and effort will be focus more on the job you are going to accomplish...More powers and God bless!

i think i would prefer to work now rather than to study again because i am already tired of studying... i had studied for more than 20 years and finish my master degree... i think it is enough... now i want to concentrate to earn money and building my future... take care and have a nice day...

by answering your question, i want to work more. being a student is so hard for me since my parents can't provide enough for my school expenses. I knew the value of hard-earned money then. Working has a lot more responsibility than studying. Once you pass your grades in school, it ends there. For me, there's a bigger responsibility when working. you dont need to just please your boss with your work, but u also have to do your best so as to stay longer in the company. More challenging, not to mention that we get to mature since we began to think how hard life is..( especially if our job is too hard for us .)

Well i like both working and studying.I have been a very good and disciplined student through out my life and have always passed with distinctions.I pursued a professional course and completed it.I was also working part time along with my studies,so i had both experiences going together.I loved my subjects,my teachers and my peers. After completion of my studies,i got a job in a good organization who are giving me decent salary and i am enjoying my work thoroughly.I have always loved facts and figures and here i am working as an internal auditor. So i enjoy both working and studying as my profession demands learning throug out my working career.

i just like to say that we should take different roles at different age, thus,we can enjoy rich experience in life.yes, being a student is less stressful than taking a job.but just think about if one day you earn much money and you can give money to your parents, how happey they will be! all the worries and stress we meet in work are only chanllenges, just overcome it,i believe you will enjoy your present life more soon.

i would alwys feel working is the best thing when compared to studying. keeping on studying will not make you money. to study you need money. even if you have basic knowledge you can earn more. that is far better. people study to have good fame in the society with their degree following their names, but that is not going to help you for so long. working improves your career.
