I've heard about Airborne but I heard it didn't really help so I've never tried it. When do you have to take it?

I don't have any proof that it works, but I feel like it does... I usually take it when I feel the slightest sore throat or sniffles.. but you can take it on a regular daily basis... since it's not any kind of medication. Get well soon!

Hi, when I feel a cold coming on I take two extra strenth tylenol and get plenty of sleep. At night I take nyquil and it lets me sleep for hours.I will also drink hot liquids to help a sore throat. I just got over a cold that hung on for over a week and I am still sleeping a little extra. I took a nap this morning about an hour and a half after I woke for the day but I am feeling much better.I live in the Northwest in the USA

I start feeling really desperate when I feel a cold coming on. A cold can be the most miserable experience a human being can ever have. So, I keep myself as warm as possible, drink hot water, reach out for the Vit C tablets and also for the Vit B Plex Forte tablets, and if it still doesn't go, I get a concoction or take a mixture of pepper and butter, which always works to drive a cold away. Cheers and happy Mylotting

I swear by Night Nurse. It always gets me a good night's sleep and I feel better in the morning. The downside is the yucky taste, and I'm scared to take it more than about three nights running in case I get addicted.

Keep your feet warm. Drink lots of vitamin C, but also get some calcium. For some reason, you don't absorb the C unless it comes with calcium. I like wrapping a blanket around me and keeping really warm. It's comfort and a sweating the cold out.

what I usually do when I feel that the colds is coming is that, I will drink lemon juice with honey. First is I will squeeze the lemon in hot water, put honey in it and drink it. Drinking a lot of fruit juices would help block the cold germs. That is what we usually do in the Philippines. Just drink a lot of fruit juices and fresh water too. It will wash out the germs and virus that brings the colds.

I always drink a glass of orange juice every day. If I feel a cold coming on I'll drink about 2-3 glasses a day. I also Lysol the house like crazy.

Hey pat! I hate having a cold and being sick! I just drink alot of orange juice and green tea! I have tried taking echenacha which one of my doctor's told me about many years ago. It didn't help me, but others swear by it! I just kind of stay in and rest until I feel better. I find that drinking alot of hot tea and juices helps alot! Staying warm and resting does wonders! Take care and get better soon~!

I usually veg out and lay low for a few days. I usually take sinus pills as this is generally where my cold seems to settle. I can't live without nasal spray! I hate to be clogged and having to breathe through my mouth, especially at night.

In India, during cold seasons, I use to take some herbal coffee or tea, mixed with Ginger and spices. Usually, I apply some ointment for cold when I go to sleep.

I usually get plenty of rest at home, drink tea (usually herbal), and try not to strain myself too much. My mum encourages me to drink a lot of liquids as well, so I do that too. =P I usually don't take pills like Panadol or Aspirin because I don't really believe in them, but I do take stronger ones for fever if necessary. For me though, the main cure is just to get a lot of rest and relax for a bit to let your immune system combat the disease and do its job.
