There are different kinds of desserts after eating. More and more people told me sweet dessert is not very good for healty and also can put on weight. In your opinion, will you enjoy a dessert or skip it?

Depends on the occasion I will eat a desert. I don't eat one every night I won't even say I eat desert half of the time. If I ate a really big meal I would't eat desert I would be to stuffed. I might have a sweet through out the day so eating a sweet after dinner isn't anything special or exclusive.

mjanne, As always, we just need to exercise common sense to everything that we do and eating included. So, as some have said it will all depend if your meal had been heavy, your personal physique and health allows you to have that dessert or not. There is no simple hard and fast rule here. Also, desserts are not at all and always unhealthy as what is being said by some. Speaking in general is simply not being objective here. Unbeknown to you, Chinese likes a little sweet soup at the end of their lunches. Once in a while it will be like Double boiled birds nest soup with rock sugar, Doubled boiled Hashima with rock sugar, Sweet potato soup with brown sugar, Boiled sweet potatoes with yam in coconut milk and etc.. These are considered healthy desserts which is beneficial for our body and more importantly one's health. It is also known to relieve one from feeling sleepy after a meal and a good alternate anti-depressant. So, I would rather seek common sense, logic and moderation against what is being generally said per say. Cheers.

It depends on how much I eat for dinner. I won't eat a smaller dinner just to save room for dessert so if I am full I will skip it. I have never skipped a dessert though because I was worried about it not being good for me. I love desserts and if I am hungry I will eat them. maybe as I get older I will have to watch what I eat more carefully but for right now pass me the ice cream, pie, cake, pudding, whatever.

I absolutely love desserts and many times I choose to eat a dessert before a proper meal. Till now desserts haven't affected my weight and health.

I love a nice dessert but I also watch my weight... so I don't have dessert very often. A lot of times, I will have fresh fruit. However, on special occasions or when there is something extra special or different for dessert (like maybe cheesecake! LOL), I will indulge :) I find by not having dessert all the time, I actually enjoy it much more when I do have it!

Yup, I love desserts, especially ice-cream, jellies, puddings, mousses and cheesecakes! However if I eat too much after a meal, then I would skip the dessert.
