Hi Abhaijith!I had GPRS connection as it was a necessity for me.Lap tops are costly and being a teacher it would look akward if I walk arounf with it in the school campus. But with a mobile its different.I can keep it in my small handbag. Why do I need GPRS connection?Because I dabble with shares and would like to know the rates of the shares as I do intraday trading.Idea was charging only 9 rs a day for the unlimited usage and the speed too was resonable.

I think it's a great technological development. What easier way is there to go online when you are on the go than through a device you carry around all the time anyway, your phone?! It really makes accessing the Internet very convenient. Still, I much prefer to use a real computer to go online...mobile phones are good for when you're away from home, but at home the computer is still king!

Internet on mobiles is slow than our regular broadband lines so i prefer to use broadband connection. Moreover GPRS is costly that regular broadband.

Well, i believe u r an indian(so am i ). Here we dont EDGE or 3G so its pretty disappointing we have to live with GPRS which is irritatingly slow. I do have GPRS on my cellphone. The speed is OK as long as you are surfing net through cellphone but if you intend to use it on ur PC, u end up getting frustated because speed is really slow(obviously because things in cellphone occupy less space so get loaded easily). So if u r user who sits at home and surfs i would suggest u to go for broadband connection as it is much faster and cheaper option. PS: Kudos to Sheila Dixit we r expecting 3G in a month or 2

i used to have a bad impression about internet in mobile phones. i used to think that if i could access the net through a laptop, why would i need a phone with internet? in other words, i had no use for it in the past. Recently though, i am beginning to see a need for it. i am an online writer and sometimes i need a quick look at my sites when i am away and i don't have a laptop with me. mobile internet is a convenient way to look at what i need briefly. maybe in the near future i'll get a mobile phone that can access the net
