Just how affected are with the global crisis? It seems to me that even if we are affected, malls are still flocked with people shopping and chillaxin. It made me think, are we really affected with the global crisis or are we just so used to it that we have adjusted well enough when the rest of the world is in panic.

We sure do. But commonly for Filipinos, they don't take it hard when it comes to problems. You see, no matter how hard life is, Filipinos are still happy with what they have. It's Filipinos nature. Most Filipinos population are actually below average when it comes to family income, in short, they are the poorest of the poor. So even there is Global crisis or not, they still be poor and would still feel the hard times. And so for the average, there are tons of call centers out there, and call center companies give enough benefits and wages for its employees, and so no matter there is Global crisis happening at the moment, I guess it won't much affected by most. After all, Filipinos have always been adaptable no matter where they are. Filipinos just can make it wherever they are. And that something that we should be proud of! Pinoy pride that is!

10001 agree on that. Wow we should be thankful but one thing though is we should not be just content with it, we should all the more strive to live better and be better in the society without losing that resiliency. Mabuhay Tayong mga Pinoy!

Very good observation. Well, I really think that we are already used to that as we are always in that situation and has never felt that we are not inc crisis. So far inmy case it has not been felt as of yet since I stil have a job to hold on to. Although the pinch on finances are starting hold on slowly. I think that is really hard for especially to those that lost their jobs.

It's clear as crystal, the people that are being affected by this global crisis would be the middle to lower class. Be that as it may, the only way you'd be truly affected by the crisis is when you get laid off or had your salary or days of work diminished.

Hi debshie, good day to you my kababayan here in this site mylot. Well this is my response to your topic entitled "to all filipino out there..." well for us we are really affected because the unemployment became a huge number and it cause high cost of the needs. Which means the demand became high but the problem is employment to our country became low. But i think the solution to survive the Global financial crisis is to have a big rate of employment! Which i mean is if the people will have a job our economy no longer encounter this khnd of crisis. . . If all Filipino will have a job, i think our economy will be in the top of the highest economy ratings. . . Well that's all my response to this discussion. . . Have a nice day. . . Happy mylotting and posting. . . mabuhay! ! !

The Philippine economy has been down for as long as I can remember. I guess we're just not that affected anymore because we're already used to it. Plus, check out the malls. Most Pinoys go to the mall just to sit and enjoy the air-conditioning. And, food places are always packed while other stores are almost always empty except during sales.
