Here in Baguio we celebrate the Flower Festival. During this festival, we have the street dancing competition and Float parade. We also have the event called session in bloom where the famous session road is closed for vehicles. Every night we have concerts and different entertaining activities in session and melvin jones. Session Road is full of stalls selling different kinds of food and exciting stuffs. This year will be a very special Flower Festival because its the Centennial Celebration of Baguio City.

I live in Lumban Laguna, and our festival is called Burdang Lumban Festival because our town's specializes in embroidered clothes. It is a week-long festival every September. It won't be complete without the ramp fashion show where we showcased our gowns and barongs. The models are picked out from girls living in Lumban also.

We have two here in Davao. Kadayawan and Araw ng Davao. Kadayawan is more of a thanksgiving festival while Araw ng Davao is a celebration of our city and its people. But both are really fun!

The most famous festival in my town, Yogyakarta, Indonesia, is Grebeg Maulid. There is Sultan Palace which has many traditional cultures. The King give an alms to people and celebrate the birth of Muhammad The Messenger. The king will gives fresh vegetables and form the vegetables like a big cone called Gunungan. The traditional soldier who bring this big Gunungan wear a uniform, the color is red with a red block velvet cap and small Batik sarong with red trousers. During the festival, many people watch and walk in the street. Some of them take a pictures and some of them enjoy the Gunungan. I like some of traditional food which only can be buy at this festival like Ndog Abang (Red Boiled Eggs).
