Canada

My husband and I were long distance for a while, and because of timing, Valentine's Day was the one day of the year when we've been able to be together, three years in a row. For this reason, we never plan to miss one. :) Not sure how we're going to celebrate this yeaar, but whatever we come up with is bound to be good. He already brought home some strawberries and melting chocolate. YUMMY! So, how will you celebrate Valentine's Day this year?

My husband and I usually go out for dinner on valentines day, but this year is going to be different. My son is in a wrestling tournament on Friday and SAturday, so we will be spending valentines day at the tournament. The bonus is that we did get a hotel room and the other children won't be coming, so we actually will be in a hotel room with no children the night before Valentines Day! NO children never happens around here:)

I am not really sure what we are doing this year. it's really not a big deal for us. I do want to do something special this year. but his birthday is so close after we are going to spend his birthday in Atlantic City this year. I am so looking forward to that because we have not been there in a long time

This year my husband and I are staying at home since we are trying to save what we can and are in the process of buying a house. Valentine's Day is actually his Mom's birthday too and we just celebrated that with her and the rest of the family yesterday. So that leaves the day of love with our selves. We have dinner reservations at a nice restaurant ( Surf and Turf! and then we will probably just spend the rest of the evening home. It is a 3 day weekend since my husband has Monday off for President's Day and we are going on a road trip Saturday just to get away for a day and come home Sunday night. We are looking forward to enjoying the 3 days together.

Oh good for you, I know you're apart a lot and for goodness sake make the most of it. I have never eaten strawberries dipped with chocolate. Maybe I need to put some romance in my eating habits. Enjoy yourself as I'm sure you will dear friend and happy Valentines day to both of you.

I think we may go out to dinner or possibly to a movie. I havent really decided what we are going to do yet. We eat here alot so going out to dinner would be something really special. I think that we will continue to do that in the future but it something that I really want to do and will continue to do soon.

hello danishcanadian i guess that next Saturday evening, my hubby and myself will try to spend the afternoon together. i am planning on making some homemade pepper steak for our dinner, with rice and i will make a side dish of brocolli casserole to serve along with it. and i am planning on making my hubby a small gift basket with different food items that he enjoys eating in the basket. i might even stick him something to drink in his basket that he also enjoys. i'm planning on giving him a himself gift for Valentine's Day. hopefully we will be able to also have a babysitter for Valentine's Day so that my hubby and myself can have the house to ourselves that night. whoo hoo! take care and have a beautiful afternoon.

Me and my husband have never really celebrated Valentine's Day. This year won't be any different. He's gotta work from 6 am to 9pm, so mine will be spent at home with the kids. We may make a heart cake or something but that will most of it. Hope your all's valentines day is shared with the ones you loved and very special.

star necklace - white gold & diamonds :)
This year we aren't celebrating. In fact this is our first Valentines Day apart. We never do antyhign really big. I can't even tell you what we did in 2008, probably had a nice meal at home. While my husband was home last week, he did buy me a gift and I can't touch it until Saturday. I was hoping to visit him next weekend b/c he has 96 hours off, but due to his cat needing medical attention, I can't go Would have been cool for him to actually give me the gift. Ah well. I attached a pic of what he bought me

We never really plan anything special for Valentine's Day. We will exchange cards and gifts and if it's a school day then we will go out to lunch - nothing fancy. This year it's on a Saturday so there will be nothing special going on I'm sure.

It's wonderful that you and your hubby celebrate it, and with chocolate-covered strawberries. YUMMY indeed. I still don't have anyone to celebrate Valentine's Day with, I'm hoping for next year.

I am glad you two can be together. I don't have a steady so I will do what I always do. I am going to watch The St Valentine's Day Massacre on the History Channel. It Never grows old for me. I think even if I did have a date , I would take time to watch this documentary. It has everythibg i love in a story. Revenge, violence and surprise.so I would see it , then do all the regular Valentine stuff. It would be great to find a guy who loves this story too but if the guy I am with didn't,I would meet him afterward. It just isn't Valentine's without the Massacre.

I will be celebrating Valentine's Day on the telephone with my love. It will be another six weeks til we are together again. That night we will be having one of our infamous dream dates in which we share a fantasy idea of what our date would have been like if we were together.
