Remember when Gift Cards used to be so popular?

I used to love getting a gift card, especially to one of my favorite shopping stores, like Walmart (only because it has a huge variety under one roof.) and other places like Target or who am I kidding, if its' a Gift Card for me. I don't turn it down. I have babysitters that allow me to pay them in gift cards, verses cash. This works out great as, I am apart of a site where you can earn points and once you have enough points you can request cash or gift cards, whenever you choose. Well my baby sitters, asked for a gift card from Starbucks, and it just so happens that Starbucks is one of the vendors on this site I'm apart of that gives you gift cards in exchange for you points. So needless to say, I was extremely excited. I don't have to come out of pocket for the gift cards, as I'll earn enough points to gain it by the time its time for them to baby sit and have the card ready for them. But I wouldn't want to outright buy a gift card these days unless it was for Walmart, as so many businesses are going out of business.
