Ok, i know im only 27, im too young and early to think of retirement, im a lazy bum, i doesn't really enjoy working, maybe im into the wrong job, not the duties that i enjoy doing, but hey, at this economy, who really gets their dream job nowadays? i consider myself lucky with a job with stable income, and i guess its never too early to think of retirement. At least there is a target for me to work towards to.. :D If i were to retire, i would hope to have at least achieve financial freedom, not to worry about cash flow, estimated around $1million singapore currency should be enough for me. My dream upon retirement is to visit all the wonders of the world.. geez, i was starting to wonder whether $1 million singapore currency is enough.. .

I want to fianically secure at retirement. I don't want to worring about money at all! I have 20 years until retirement and I have been saving up for retirement in a retirement fund for some time now. What I need to retire on I don't know. One of theses days I'll look into that! I also hope social security will be around when I retire, too! If not I alot of people will be pissed! Me included!

ah yes, financial freedom is always what most people sought for.. it serves the most basic need of human lives, but set a target and be contended with it.. If not, we may never seems to be able to retire.. =P

Hello allentcl82, I am young as well and see myself very much like you. I don't really like to work. I would like to be able to retire early and travel like yourself. I do not really have a retirement plan yet. Just curious, what is your plan to retire with $1 million in Singapore currency as of now?

haha, strike the lottery? Kidding, frankly speaking, im not sure, its a target to achieve, and down the road, which there are several decades for me, i dont think its not achievable.. I have time, but i have to start early.. 5 ways of getting rich... 1. Born Rich 2. Marry a Rich 3. be a celebrity, (football star, Hollywood star etc) 4. Strike Lottery 5. Start a business.... So which way do you think i will take? =D

Well number one and two didn't happen. I'm not the celebrity type..so probably the lottery haha. I have begun to invest recently (a VERY small amount). I think it might be a good time to start as the economy should begin to recovery soon so I think I might be "getting in" at the bottom. Mostly I haven't really thought much about it either. Well whatever you decide to do: Good Luck!
