I am started to feel the effects of higher prices in our economy by the food industry. This is changing our life a little. Food is just outrageous if you ask me. So I will now have to find ways to eat more frugal. I need to find ways to use my left overs and start a garden. My life is changing day by day to try to adjust to the things going on. I just think they are going to get alot worse and have been preparing for the worst. What about you?

Hey bailey~It is true that food prices have definitely gone out of control! I have learned to shop only when things that I need are on sale. I have also learned to use leftovers wisely. I try hard not to waste anything. Before I go grocery shopping I think about what I want to prepare ahead of time so that I get what I need. Planning ahead of time helps.

I am shopping very carefully. I am starting my own tomatoe plants. I dont waste any left overs. I would recommend angel ministries and I do shop alot at the dollar stores....I have a freezer and I plan on buying produce cheap and filling it up this summer. Buying foods that stretch your budget and keeping an eye out for the really good deals.

I have been doing this too, Like for example I made tacos monday night and I made about 3 pounds of taco meat, tuesday I used the left over taco meat and made chili, wed, I took the left over chili and made chili dogs , Now tonight I am making beans and cornbread. I do not know what i can do with it tomorrow. I bought the stuff for my hubby to make his awesome meatloaf.

It will certainly get MUCH worse before it gets better. I'm sure we haven't even seen the half of it. Eventually, we may have to face another depression. That's why my new favorite phrase is "Expect the best, Prepare for the worst!"
