I like pretty much all of his movies except for the Planet of the Apes remake. I like his unique style and atmosphere in his movies. Can you make your top 3? Here's mine: 1. Beetlejuice 2. Edward Scissorhands 3. Ed Wood

I would have to say the The Nightmare Before Christmas, it has has a cult status, and jack is such a great character.

Cheers for that even if it was by accident. This is a great discussion, I really love Tim Burtons work.

Ohh I love Beetlejuice, too! xD But I think my number one would be The Nightmare Before Christmas, and 2 - Beetlejuice then 3 - Edward Scissorhands. but I'm not a huge fan of The Corpse Bride, and I still haven't gotten to see Sweeny Todd or Caoraline yet.

Coraline has nothing to do with Burton actually. But it's done by Henry Selick, the director of the Nightmare Before Christmas so I'm sure you'll like it. Burton was co-writer and producer for the Nightmare Before Christmas but has nothing to do with Coraline.

Every time I see the trailer for Coraline, I wonder if they did that on purpose. "From the director of the Nightmare Before Christmas" without mentioning his name. Did they do that hoping that people would assume because Tim Burton wrote and produced NBX that he also directed it? I have no doubt if Burton had had anything to do with it, his name would have been mentioned (as, probably, would have Neil Gaiman's).

I actually saw Nightmare Before Christmas for the first time right before starting this thread. I haven't seen Corpse Bride and Sweeney Todd yet. I have them on the computer and I'm going to watch them when I'll have a time.

I would have to say my favorites are Edward Scissorhands and Beetlejuice. I could watch Beetlejuice over and over and never get sick of it.

Yeah... Planet of the Apes pretty much stunk. Top 3 is super hard! Nightmare Before Christmas is #1, easily but 2 and 3? hmmmm Going off the cuff here, the first titles that come to mind are Batman and Big Fish, so let's go with that.
