Are You Spending Valentine's Day Alone This Year?

Last year on Valentine's Day I had a boyfriend, so I spent part of the evening with him. It actually wasn't a pleasant evening either. All he wanted to do was talk about his ex, his ex, and his ex some more. Frankly, it spoiled the mood and I realized that night that he TOTALLY wasn't over her, so needless to say, we weren't together much longer. This year I don't have a significant other to spend the day with, so I'm assuming that I will spend the day with my son. It is my ex's weekend with our daughter, so I'm assuming she will be with him or someone in his family. In a way, it is depressing. Not having anyone to spend the evening with. Even if it would be a "friendly" Valentine's Day with a friend and not a lover, it would be nice. But I guess I will be spending the evening with the man that I will love unconditionally forever and ever, my baby boy, my little man, my 2 year old son, Justice. Is anyone else going to be spending Valentine's Day alone?

Hello singlemommy! Yes I am spending my valentine's day alone this year. Since birth I do not have a boyfriend, I am 21 now, but I am not hurrying love. I know it will come someday. I will spend my valentine with my family, my sisters and brothers have a date with their partners. It is ok with me. Maybe next year I am not spending it alone. Happy Valentines! Happy mylotting!

I will be spending Valentine's with my kitty :o) I think you shoud make it a special day for you and your boy, rent a movie (maybe a Disney one, so you both can enjoy), get some yummies you like and make a nice day of it. Make it special, so you will forget that you are not with the man of your dreams :o).

Yes, sometimes it is just having that person you love, there doesn't have to be gifts involved at all. Have a great Valentine's Day!

Well I am not spending it alone my husband will be here with me but I am spending it in a different way than planned,we were going to a dance at the K.C. hall but in the mean time my husband has broke his foot and will be having surgery on the 12th so no dancing for him so I guess that means me too.You have a great plan spending the evening with your son and two year olds are so amazing in what they like to do,my 2yr.old granddaughter loves to dance so turn on some music and dance with your son.Justice is a lovely name. You have a great night.

Yes, I love the name Justice. I remember watching a movie one time and there was a man named Justice. When I got pregnant, I looked at a few names and liked them, but Justice just seemed like the perfect name. I agree, two year olds are amazing! He surprises me with something new every day. Last night, he learned how to say "apple". Of course, it came out "a pool", but it is great getting to see them learn so much. Yes, I think I will buy my little man a special valentine and we will probably hang out here at home and we probably will crank up the music and do some dancing. I hope your husband's surgery goes well. Lots of luck with that! Have a great Valentine's Day too!

I believe I had a rare lonesome valentine's day. If you do have single friends that has no plans for that evening, you should round them up and have a great time together. I did that, and it was sooo much fun! To answer your question, nope. I will be with my hubby on Valentine's day.

My husband works in a far place. And he only go home every after contract. Most of the Valentines we are not together. But it is okay. We just make it up when we are together. And I have my kids with me to spend it by the way.

I will not get to see my wife on valentine's day. We work opposite shifts, so she will be gone to work by the time I get up that day, and she will probably be in bed asleep by the time I get home.

Hey, you are a great single mommy and I am sure you will have a sweet night with your little man, lol. Fortunately the Valentine's day is on Saturday and that makes be to spend it with bf, though he is in another city, I know he will come to visit me or I will go to his place. Actually we are weekend lovers, we gather together at weekends even it's not the Valentine's day this Saturday, heehee. I remember I spent the Valentine's day alone last year and it's ok. I worked some extra time and by the time I was taking a bus home, I saw so many couples in the street, girls holding flowers, you know. Happy Valentine's day!

Hello singlemommy. I'll be turning 25 this year and so far I haven't had a partner during V-day ever since. I have had bfs the rest of the year, it's just on Feb14 I don't have my man beside me. I don't know what Cupid's playing at LOL I'm expecting to give birth soon though so I'm not thinking much about it. My guy's working in another city and I doubt if he'll be able to come over during that day, much less spend it with me. I'm kind of used to it and not worry so much about it. Don't think about it too much. Just treat it like any other day and you won't even know it's gone by already. You have your son with you anyway so it'll be fun!

Though i had a fiance, i will still be alone on Valentine's day as we are miles apart. That's the sad thing but on the brighter side at least we can still talk over the cam on that day. I really wish on the next valentine we already be together to celebrate it. As of now we are doing sacrifices but we know when time comes that will paid off when we are together forever.

I will be spending Valentine's Day with my 2 kids. No boyfriend for me either. I don't really mind being single much. It is a lot less hassle than dealing with a relationship most of the time.

I'm going to be spending it alone as well, I do have my son, but as you say it still feels lonely with out a significant other. I do wish that both of us could find someone before Valentines day, but I think it wouldn't be worth it to just find someone and spend it with them. Oh well, I'm sure my son will have a great day with me, he always spends every day with me but I'll try to make it extra special for him.

I am fortunate not to be alone on Valentine's Day. I got married on Valentine's Day in 2002, so I am celebrating my 7th anniversary this weekend. I hope you find someone to spend it with, but if not Justice sounds like he will be a great valentine for you! There's nothing more precious than momma's baby boy!

Congratulations on your wedding anniversary. That is wonderful! My cousin got married on Valentine's day, but her marriage ended in divorce. Yes, Justice is the best Valentine that I could have asked for! I never will forget the first New Years' that I spent with him, I was single. He was only 6 weeks old and of course, I didn't have anyone to kiss. My aunt was with me and my son that night and when it struck midnight, I remember she was hold him and she brought him over to me and said, "You have a man to kiss this New Year's". It was sweet. I know that I will always have my "little man" even if I don't have a boyfriend in my life and that means so much to me. Have a wonderful Valentine's Day and Anniversary with your husband!
