rubber bed sheets

I got to thinking about this after someone spilled coffee on the bed. You know those rubber bed sheets? Normally they are used for kids or people I guess that have bed wetting problems. They could come in real handy for those of us who cant find our mouths while eating or drinking in bed. Do you have rubber bed sheets? SHOULD you have rubber bed sheets? do you eat/drink in bed? do you make a mess? do you use the rubber sheets for anything other than protecting your mattress? When was the last time you changed your bedsheets?

Oohh...rubber bed sheets? This sounds kinky Mmmm... Uh, nope never thought about getting any kind of mattress liner or anything. When I got my new mattress during the summer I was all set out to use one of those plastic liners to keep the mattress nice and clean..uh, just in case of unforeseen hazards, and did actually buy one, but when I opened the package up...PU...it had such a strong plastic smell I returned it...just didn't like the idea of smelling that crap....besides they say, since I read up on it..that if something has a strong plastic smell that most likely it's PVC plastic and can give out toxic fumes....lovely...no thanks. I don't really eat or drink much while in bed though...my concern though is if one of my darling kitties decides to have a hairball fit while on my bed. EWWWW

I forgot all about rubber sheets, do they still sell them? I remember long, long time ago, my brother had them on his bed when he was a baby. Wow, my mind is going way back. I changed my sheets just yesterday. I change them about once a week.

Actually, I love fresh smelling sheets and blankets...so I wash mine often. I just washed them this past weekend!!! :) And this morning, I could still smell one of my favorite smells of fresh laundry. :) But to answer you other question...No, I do not use rubber sheets and nor do I wet my bed. haha However, I do eat and drink in bed...but I don't seem to need a rubber sheet for that one either. haha And no, I do not use rubber sheets for anything else. For some reason, I can't stand the feel or the sound that they make. Eck!

I don't like having rubber bed sheets because it reminds me of the days when I had a peeing problem as a kid. Of course I quickly outgrew the rubber bed sheets. I still wouldn't like to use one now because it makesd a squeaky sound. I don't eat and drink in bed anyway so I won't need it. I don't like having a messy bed. I read it bed and check my email in bed, but I clean up after so that there is no more clutter left.
