hi guys ..im really fond of watching the news and shows in cable TV..just wondering if you guys are fed up with violence you watch on the news/shows and if ever you're interested on watching national or world events..such as pageants,wrestling,Olympics or whatever events...i like watching pageants not so with the Olympics, but i do like watching live coverages in Iraq years back(invasion or whatever you call it)..

I love hearing about world events, but I am tired of the doom and gloom of certain ones. I like to listen to the BBC World Service at night. Sure there are some doom and gloom reports, but there are a lot of other wonderful things on the BBC as well. Lots of great documentaries, and such.

I work for the largest media house in East and Central Africa: the Nation Media Group, and I don't watch the news! I will watch the briefs but not the full bulletins. It's really depressing to watch the news. I'd rather watch Tyra and Ellen Degeneres and our local shows.

I hate watching violence on TV and really limit it. But there is a ton of violence on the news too, especially local news, it seems that is all they show. Like others here I enjoy international news, and feel that it is odd that so few Americans seem interested in overseas events.
