well, i feel bad about the early contestants of the show especially those who really cannot sing. they wasted lots of time in the line just to be insulted by simon. but then, the early auditions are one of my favorite parts of the show. it is very entertaining.

I actually dont feel bad for them at all the way i figure they jsut want the spotlight and are faking all of ti most of hte the time. Like the mime from two seasons ago i mean its a singing competition yet you're not singing... hm. thats perfectly reasonable.

Entertaining it may be for some. I don't like the rude comments by some of the judges, I don't it is called for.

I truly think some people don't know they cannot sing. But I think a lot of them know they are bad, and want some 15 minutes of fame time. Do you remember William Hung? That dude got a $25,000 record deal, because he was bad. I'm assuming anyone who bought that was either related to him, or wanted to obtain a gag gift for a company part.

Actually, I'm not a big fan of the show, because of the rudeness of the judges, I do think that some people just don't literally realize how bad they do sound because of being tone deaf, but it is just as bad for a contest judge to tell them in a rude manner of it especially in front of millions of other viewers.

Sometimes I think the people on shows like Idol are doing it just for the air time. They just want their 5 minutes of fame. Some of them aren't really all that bad and I feel for them when they judges come down hard on them. If they feel that they really are good and were denied for no good reason then yes I think that they will try out again for the next season.

Everyone deserves their 5 minutes right?
