Alot of things are so different in other countries, sometimes its hard to explain but its often the little things that make big differences. Like in Australia we drive on the left hand side of the road where as in America you drive on the right, and its soooo scary to see. or something as silly as the toilets flushing the opposite way. Where have you been and what differences stand out to you?

I am from southern part of India. I have been to Singapore which to me is like my second home. Nothing much is different in Singapore. I have been to Thailand. I really love the way they have trained the animals both wild and domestic for shows. I have also been to Malaysia, Hong kong and Vietnam. I cannot say much about these three countries as I have not spent much time, just a couple of days in these countries. The longest duration, I have been in a foreign country is USA. USA is entirely different from what I have seen in the other countries. We drive on the left side and they drive on the right side and the climate was too cold. The main difference that I have seen in the US is the sunset. Here in India, even in peak summer, the sun sets by 6.30 PM at the latest, but in the US, I have seen the sun set at 8.30 PM and 9 PM which is really strange to me.

Hi jayguar, it doesn't get so cold down south in the US as it does up north, although I would like to see some more snow. My brother has been to India many times and he just loves it. Nice to 'meet you'.)

I am very keen on traveling and one thing that is usually different to my home country is the weather. This January I went to Cape Town and it was delightfully hot and sunny there whilst it was miserably cold in my homeland which is England. In Australia I noticed the unique wildlife like the friendly cockatoos and the lovely kangaroos. I saw penguins there and in New Zealand. I have also seen those in South Africa but the are not found in my home country. In England we have some sandy and pebbly beaches however the water is too cold for me to swim in it. In Belize they thought they had a cold snap in the weather but it was warm for me and I was enjoying it. I went to Israel and saw the religious places like the Western Wall and the Dome of the Rock. My home country is not as religious as the Holy Land. I went to Petra in Jordan and saw desert that we don't have in my homeland. I went to Kenya and met the Masai tribe. I love to see the differences in the places I go to. In England we drive on the left hand side of the road however I am used to seeing people drive on the right side in most countries.

I'm in Sweden and has not visited many other places - but I've been to Tunisia and that's on another continent ;-). I wouldn't say that much differs. The weather, the nature and the clithing differs from here and so does the food, but the people are still people. I like different cultures and consider myself open minded. I like to sxplore the daily life in other places and would love to stay for a long time. I've never visited US and probably never will, but there are many things I don't get about the country and the people living there (not all, but some). For me it's so strange to support war - sending people to make war in other places in the world - I do understand fighting for your country IN your country, but not attacking other countries. I see so many problems and how "bad" sulutions there are, but many americans say that there is no wrong things in US - that US is the leading country in all things in the world. It's the only democratic country *lol* I also find the educational system strange - it's very important to know all presidents from a young age - but the lack of knowledge about the rest of the world is okay. I guess that it's harder for me to deal with the differenses when it comes to western countries than with countries with a different "system"
