Alright, yes I am aware that I'm not a fan of remakes. Quite vehemently against them actually. But, I'll give them a chance. So, please, horror fans, can you give me suggestions of some good horror remakes? Maybe someone knows of one that might change my mind. Who knows!

The Eye with Jessica Alba is a remake of a Chinese film. I haven't seen the original but so far it's the first remake of an Asian horror film that I didn't think was a complete waste of time. I hated the Ring, the Grudge, Dark Waters (and for me to hate a Jennifer Connolly movie, you know it has to be bad)...and after Dark Waters I stopped watching them. I saw the Eye without knowing what I was getting into, but I loved it. It was one of my top five movies of 2008.

I advise you to watch friday the 13th. Its coming out friday, and I love those movies. They are pretty scary sometimes, sometimes funny. But they are totally worth watching. My friend is a big fan and I think I might watch it with him. The other friday the 13th movies were pretty scary, thats what I thought. Have you seen any of them? You should watch this one definitely.

Yup, you're right - I've yet to see a good remake. I've seen a number of remakes and they don't measure up to the original version. The last one I saw, Quarantine, was terrible. I haven't seen the original (REC), and many people have been recommending it as a must-see, so I'm looking for it. I think there's no comparison though, Quarantine with or without being a remake, is still terrible!
