What sort of people eat MacDonald in your culture?

I hear Macdonald is very very cheap, maybe the cheapest food in the US., so rich people seldom or never buy it. But in the northeast of China, it's quite the opposite. Today when i stepped into a Macdonald store, I was shocked that there were so many people awaiting in two queues. The queues stretched to the door at lunch hour ! What makes me so surprised is that Macdonald is the kind of fast food which only those who are rich or at least handsomely paid can afford, and as the financial crisis sweeps the globe, the fast food industry should not escape from it either.
So who buys fast food like KFC, MACDONALD in your country?

mostly students.
because McDonald allows us to stay there for long hours and not chase us away. For SOME outlets. But mostly it's where students get-together to study or chill. It's the cheapest ATAS alternative.

I cant say I ever thought about what type of person buys it here in the UK, im not rich we treat the kids now and again or i take them with a friend and her children I guess anyone who wants it and can afford it will buy it

It's more expensive, several times than the price in US. maybe for Europeans, buying fast food like KFC, MC are just like paying the cheapest, convenient food. while in China, one meal for one person equals an ordinary person's whole wage for one day or half-day payment. thanks. Lucky you.

Well Where I live which is an island in the middle of the Mediterranean sea called Malta McDonalds , KFC etc... are a bit expensive but I see many people at their outlets mostly tourist which visit our island. the cost of a burger is 6 euros something and in a normal restaurant you can get it less then 3 euros! which is less
