As some of you know, I have 2 kids. One is 2 1/2 years old and the other is only 7 months this coming Saturday. My youngest is on stage 2 baby foods. I can't remember when my oldest started on stage 3 foods. I know we started her earlier then the doctors said to but not by much. I think my youngest might be ready for stage 3 now. When did your kids start on stage 3 baby foods?

My kids never ate the 3d stage foods. They were on table food by the time it came to 3rd stage. My daughter always preferred table food to baby food. If your daughter has enough teeth to chew the small pieces in the 3rd stage then she should be ready. Buy one or 2 jars and try her out on it and see.

She has no teeth yet but doesn't seem to always get full on stage 2. I'm thinking I migt have to wait until she gets some teeth. Thanks for the response.

My youngest is 1 1/2 and we started him on stage 3 foods as soon as he had his 8 front teeth. As for the fact that stage 3 has a few chunky pieces in it. Good luck with it.

That sounds like a good plan but she's showing no signs of teething at all yet. I thought it was around 9 months that the doctors recommend stage 3 but 2 1/2 years is a long time to remember something like that. Thanks for you suggestion.

I would say as soon as your child is able to chew without issues. I think every child is different, but I would say around 9 months or so. By then they are fully sitting, have a few more teeth, etc. Though, my son was odd and couldn't do stage 3 until he was almost a year.

I guess it depends on how many teeth they have then. I thought it was around 9 months but can't remember. She's showing no signs of getting teeth anytime soon. My oldest had a lot of teeth by the time she was 7 months though.
