I went to a new doctor the other day because I got sick of the old one not listening to anything I say. Espically about my hand. I have tremors in my left hand so bad that sometimes It just shakes really really bad. This doctor actually did a test where I had to reach for her finger and then touch my nose. Then she put me on some medicine for it. And it seemms to be working, no guarantees though but I have only had one real bad spasm in two days! It might be wishful thinking to hope its working, but I am just so sick of not being able to do anything with this hand. She also had some suggestens for my cramps I get when I have my moon time. Plus she got me on a waiting list for a neurologist to see if we can find out what's causing my hand to spasm.

That is so awesome ! I do not think that i have ever had a doctor listen to me. I lost my hearing a few years back and the doctors did nothing and never did try to find out why! I still only have about half of my hearing and never have found out why.

She sounds like a decent doctor....hang on to her. so many are like the first one you described! And at least she didn't just give you the meds without setting up to look further for the cause! As I was reading this my first thought was....this girl needs a neurologist. It should have been the first thing your other doctor suggested. Well, I hope you get to the bottom of this and they can finally help you out.

Wonderful! I hope it does keep working for you. I had serious problems on and off with muscle spasm and twitches I never seen a doctor for it...As I do not have money or health insurance... I think mine is because I been struck by lightning 9 times... So I am sure its muscle and nerve damage.. I do know for sure I have scarring all over my tendons and legaments from that, as well as on my bones.. So that is part of the tremors problems.. the other part is stress and anxiety for me... Happy Healing! :) - DNatureofDTrain

Oh great! I remember you saying that you were sure something was wrong and the doctor was not helping you to discover the cause. I am so pleased that things are different now and I really hope you are on the right road to getting it dealt with so that it can become a thing of the past I too have a niggling problem which the doctors seem to give little importance to. I have had tests and the like done for a problem with a vein in my leg. The tests say it's nothing but I know differently I just hope it keeps ticking over and does not worsen and my fears prove tobe correct. Time will tell. Good luck and I hope that now your hand is improving we will see you more here too

I have the same problem with doctors. After they changed our insurance I had to switch doctors. Now I have to go to this bigger clinic and I don't like it. They give me a different doctor all the time. I'm on number 3 now. You never in there longer than 5 minutes. I have to find a new 1. I hope your hand gets better.
