My son just turned 10 and isn't shy at all. He running around the house in his undies, will answer the door that way and sometimes he will run around naked. I am all for kids being open and running around however they want, but I think there should be an age where maybe they should start covering up. Maybe I am just jealous that I can't do the same LOL What age do you think should be the cut off for undies only Or should they just be running around however they want? Do u think the kids that have their undies sticking out of their pants all the time not allowed to do it enough when they were younger?

My son was only about 5 or 6 when he decided that he wanted nothing to do with being naked or even in his underwear around anyone including me. I think that there should be an age, but I don't really know what age that is. I think he is pushing it though.

That's a good question. I suppose it is whatever you are going to be comfortable with. I mean, if dad goes around in his underwear at any time, it could be he's just imitating him. It could just be that it's a lot more comfortable. For me, my son is only 2 1/2 and is always undressing down to his pullups. I let him run around as he's comfortable, and I generally end up with several pairs of clothes laying all over his room. Perhaps you could offer him a compromise? Say he can go around in just shorts/no top or pants/no top inside the house if he wants but that it's no more undies.

How he walks around really doesn't bother me, it bothers my ex-husband but he was never into walking around like that. My husband does walk around like that, but my son started living with us when he was 5, so his "habit" was already set in stone by then LOL

It all depends on how you have been living...the surroundings....the way he has been brought up...& so on...By this time he should have felt shy by going around in his undies....
