Hello,Chaitra! I never go for walking in the morning as I am a late riser. However I work in the kitchen garden for about an hour daily. And if I get some company go to the park where we walk for about twenty minutes in the evening. Thus I have kept my body and mind fit at the age of seventy.Besides I also eat a simple and healthy vegetarian diet daily.thanx.

I use pedometer to measure the number of steps I walk in a day. Aim for 15000 to 20000 steps. On those rare days that I go for a long long hike, may reach 30000 steps. An hour walk usually yields 6500 to 7000 steps. Not sure about the distance. Usually use pedometer for 3 days a week. The other 4 days are so called "non-exercise" day.

I do walk but not every day. only when my husband's off day. I can consider walking about 2 to 3 kilometers specially when going to church. The place is far from where we live so we walk going there. Anyway i enjoy because i am holding my husbands hand and it is considered my exercise too. I would like to have some gym equipment at home but a stationary bike, where i can trim by thighs and leg and butt area.

I don't really know how far I walk. I power walk for about 30 minutes each day, mon-fri. I also do some arm exercises. I hit my forties, and let's just say my metabolism isn't what it used to be :) I knew I had to start exercising
