People are getting sick here in our place because of the changing temperatures. It is either too hot or too cold. Those with weak resistance are usually get sick. All we need to do is be extra careful. And take good care of our health.

Hi tinwoman, how I wish we had heaters. But here in the Philippines, we never get that cold to be needing one. We are tropical here. But you are right, it got cold down here too that everybody is getting the flu! Could this be the next ice age?

My heater was still on two weeks before. But let me tell you, I feel quite hot now. It is now 25'c in Hong Kong, like a summer day instead of a warm winter day. I guess I won't need to turn the heater on until the next winter (if we still have winter). The atmosphere has changed a lot in this few years.. sigh...

Hey TnWoman! Well, I live in NY and it has been a little bit warmer here for the last week or so, but we still have had to have the heat on! It gets cold at night! I live in an apartment complex and I don't have any control of the heat at all! I don't even have a thermostat in my apartment! Even though the temperatures have been a bit warmer outside the apartment still stays colder inside. It is back to the 30's and 20's again so so much for out brief "heat wave"!

Well Italy may well be sunny but the air is crisp and cool coming off the snow-capped mountains and it's been on since October. It will probably be on until at least the end of March or mid April then it should start warming up suddenly and we'll be almost into summer. I'm in the north. In the south it's a little bit warmer and they have it on for less consecutive months but it is cold there too right now.

I live in Miami, but we did have to turn it on a couple of weeks ago when it got in the low 30's. I love Tennessee and we are thinking of moving there one day, but I don't think I can handle too much cold weather.

Good Morning, I live in the SW part of Idaho and it has been a blistery cold winter for us. We have received more snow in the first month of winter than we do in a normal 3 winters put together. My heat has been on since November. There are days I can turn it off for 5 or 6 hours, but for the most part, it is on. It is warming up some. Our high today is supposed to reach 34 degrees.

Our furnace is still on and we will keep it on for another month or more. Our weather fluctuates so much that I can't bring myself to turn it off yet. It's in the 30's this morning and is only going to warm up to the 50's later. It's been beautiful here but we are suppose to get snow next week. Usually this time of the year the snow isn't deep and melts fairly fast.

Hiya TnWoman, I think I should be asked when was the last time I turned my heating off...it's so cold here in the UK but it was just this morning, I mentioned to my daughter, I could feel it wasn't quite so cold now and the lighter mornings are coming, so too are the lighter nights, so it shan't be long before the heating is not needed.

Wow! My heater (furnace) has been on since October! I'm in Northern Ontario and it's been quite a winter with lots of snow and cold temperatures. Another 2 months of heating and shortly after that we'll be switching to the central air conditioning for summer.

Well since I live in the deep south I dont have to turn on my heater much. Last time I had to turn the heat on was sometime last month. We have had a mild beautiful winter and its now going into the 70s on a daily basis.

Up here in Pennsylvania, we are having a very chilly, icy and snowy winter, so we have been heating a lot! The past two days, we had a little heat wave and it got up into the high fifties, and my kids were running around in shorts in the afternoon, but as soon as it got dark, that heater was on again... I like it warm, but not stuffy in my house. Have a nice day!

The furnace has been on for what seems like forever. It's cold in Ohio. Right now it's 32 degrees, so yes the furnace is on. When we had the sub-zero temps a couple weeks ago the furnace was running constantly. I'm so glad I'm on the budget for my gas bill. We had a heat wave a couple days ago and the furnace didn't run all day. It was actually warmer outside than it was in the house. That only lasted 1 day. I'm ready for summer and having the windows open and getting some fresh air in.
